About the facility Town Square NW Austin
We are an adult enrichment center that provides
activities and nursing care to our members in a safe and nostalgic environment. We are centered around
the reminiscence approach, and when you walk through our doors, you are stepping into what appears to be a 1950’s town! We have a diner, a movie theatre, and even a park!
The typical day starts in Rosie’s Diner with breakfast and conversation. Following breakfast, the
members break into groups of similar interest and abilities to begin activities. Members spend about 45
minutes in each storefront, so anticipate that your loved one will be in about 3-4 storefronts per day.
Each activity room has dedicated lesson plans so there is always variety to the day! We also partner with local groups to bring in guest speakers, pet therapy, musical groups, etc.
Our Program Assistants are specifically trained in Dementia and Alzheimer’s care. While we are not
limited to accepting only members with a cognitive impairment, it is comforting to know that we can
provide the care for those members that may require specialized care. All our activities are easily
adapted so we can provide a tailored experience to your loved one.
