The community has been a delight to work with in getting my father the care he deserves. On the multiple tours, many different residents were welcoming and able to engage in different conversations.

My husband lived with me for ten years after their dementia diagnosis, and when the time finally came to find them a new home, I was determined to find somewhere truly special. That’s when I found Windsong, and from the very first visit, it felt like family. The director is wonderful. Warm, responsive, and genuinely invested when I raised a concern, she didn’t just listen, she acted. That kind of reassurance means everything when you’re trusting someone with the person you love most. The staff are incredible, and what surprised me is how many familiar faces there are for a newer building. My spouse has their favorites, and so do I. That consistency and connection matters more than I can say. The activities are engaging and thoughtfully planned, and the space itself is clean, comfortable, and feels like a real home rather than a facility. If you are searching for a place where your loved one will be truly cared for not just looked after, Windsong is it.

I would give them all a 5. I think any facility is not going to be perfect but I haven't had any negative things so far. You just have to remember that it's different because it's not your home

I love most of the staff. They are very sweet and nice. There is one or two I am not very happy with. If there are challenges the staff helps fix or finds a solution most of the time.

My father is a resident at Windsong at Southridge and the experience has been great. The socializing is my number one favorite thing about Windsong! The staff is awesome! The facility is clean. If my father needs anything they call, if he gets sick they call.

Windsong at Southridge gets all 5 stars - My dad is loves the place and the workers. He is thriving there, he is back to using his walker vs wheelchair. He has friends again and enjoying life again. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking.

I love all of the activities that they do at this community and how they keep everyone engaged in the activities. They also come up with fun activities for the residents to do and not just everyone watching t.v. They have activities like arts and crafts, cooking and baking classes, gardening, fundraiser activities and a lot of community events that they let the residents participate in also.

We were able to tour this facility in person and we absolutely loved it. Our loved one would be there now if it was not so expensive. Communication was great, there were not grey areas. They were upfront and honest, and all the rooms were all the same size. They have different levels of care, and they truly think of the residents like family, they have them involved all the time.

Wonderful and supportive staff! Both of my in-laws have been at Windsong for 2 1/2 years. They have fun activities and outings that are available to all the residents. We are notified immediately of any issues or events that occur so never left wondering. This is a cruel disease that the staff has to deal with daily and you never know what they may have to trouble shoot on any given day. The support from the staff nurse is amazing. She truly strives to get the best and most appropriate help for your loved one.

We toured this community when looking for my husband and it was very nice. The reason why we didn't choose this community is because he needed more care than they could provide. I would recommend them to anyone.

I can personally attest that Windsong is committed to providing its residents and their family with the highest level of satisfaction. In particular kudos to Nurse Debra who responds quickly and in a comprehensive manner, as compared to what we have experienced at other facilities. I appreciate the entire staff’s efforts to keep the family informed on Mom’s progress by reporting directly to us when they observe physical or attitude changes. On behalf of my family, I want to thank the staff at Windsong for their compassion and commitment to improving the lives of individuals who require memory care.

We needed to move Mom from Dallas Retirement Village because there simply was not a niche between assisted-living and long-term care at DRV, and Mom clearly fell in between those two. Windsong at Eola Hills is wonderful. The facility is bright, clean (and new), beautifully landscaped. The staff --right from the administration through the nurses and the aides-- is always friendly and caring of the memory-challenged residents. The food is very good --appetizingly prepared and yet with a clear concern that it be healthy, too. Dollar value seems very fair --certainly many $1000s per month less than the long-term care facility at DRV. Having a thoughtful caring director --who is working within the "Montessori" guidelines-- is a big plus, because it is a true indication of the appropriate nature of the activities for the residents' degrees of memory/reason loss. Even though Mom is at the higher end of mental functioning (and certainly won't always be so --she's already 95) among Windsong residents, but given the setting, she is happy with her new Windsong friends.

My frustration comes from not having a consistent care taker. My husband did not have a shower in the month of May because they couldn't get him to cooperate. That's their job they should be able to figure it out. They do have him working with the janitorial guys which helps.

RN and the director, , are fantastic to work with and have been more than cooperative with caring for my father who is a brittle diabetic. Although he doesn't have dementia, he moved into Windsong when my mom had to move to a locked memory care home. The maintenance man, is extremely friendly and will do anything needed as soon as possible. He is also very engaged with the residents and they are often cheered up by his fun personality. The med techs are reliable and excellent at calling family whenever there's a concern. Caregivers are a mix of those who stay and get to know each resident's individual needs/preferences, and those who are hired but leave quickly. Unfortunately, there is high turnover in caregivers at most facilities, and Windsong is not an exception. The front desk staff, [name removed] and [name removed], are friendly also. [name removed], the community relations person, is energetic and always willing to listen. We love them all.

Communication is big factor in making sure your person is well taken care of. I did not have any major problems with Windsong, all the caregivers and staff were wonderful. Just remember that no matter what facility you pick none of them are going to be perfect. I would recommend Windsong

Go visit and get a sense of the culture. Windsong stood out for the positivity, energy and warmth we experienced. The volume of activities and Montessori approach to care were also key factors in our decision.

Windsong Southridge, Toured November 2022: --THE MONTESSORI APPROACH: Nice thorough tour, inside and out. I believe they have been open since May of 2020. I simply love the Montessori-Inspired Lifestyle that this place offers! The "activity stations" are creative and welcoming - and really look fun! --STAFF: Whilst on my tour, the staff representative I was with appeared to know everyone by name that we came in contact with, however, she did not seems to interact much with them. Some staff members were very engaged and connected with the residents; some seemed a little impatient, but you never know what kind of a day someone is having! --RESIDENCE: Clean, bright, and furnishings in the common rooms were in great condition. Residents' rooms seemed a tad drab but I was shown a room that was not occupied and undecorated. Please have a couple of occupied rooms to tour. --FINAL DECISION: My loved one is not at this stage, so it was a "not yet." And it's pretty expensive as well...

I toured this community and it was nice. Staff was really good. It was clean and we liked the care team. We were very impressed with the Montessori based approach, that was something that attracted us. However, it's a Memory Care only facility. Not what we need at this point, so we kept looking. But again, it was a great place!
