Review for Agape Orange Home II

The care givers are fantastic. They are so good with the elderly and are Johnny on the spot when someone needs something. They bathe them every other day. The house is extremely clean. My dad says the caregivers are always cleaning something. Room size is nice. My dad shares a room. They each have their own tv and dressers. The house is a nice size, very clean and welcoming. Nice calm colors. They have a great schedule they stick to. Fridays they have someone come for some Pt, and Sunday they have a priest. My dad doesn't complain about the food but I just wish I saw more things being baked rather than fried. Most things seem prepared from a can or a package rather than fresh. Would love to see more fresh fruit , but all of that comes second to the care that those 3 care givers give. And they're always welcoming when we visit. The caregivers always have a smile when we are there.

About the facility

Agape Orange Home II is a care home specializing in memory care in Orange County, California. The home sits on a quiet residential street in Orange, a small, affluent community east of Anaheim, and there are plenty of parks and recreational activities nearby. Families and friends visiting Agape Orange Home II will find outdoor and cultural activities in town, and for more urban fun they can head to Los Angeles.

The large single-family home setting helps residents feel comfortable and at ease. The homey atmosphere is not clinical or stuffy but still maintains the safety and care standards of larger institutions. The caregivers at Agape Orange Home II are trained to provide compassionate care specifically for seniors with Alzheimer’s or other kinds of dementia, and the home is also designed with these specific needs in mind. Family pictures are on the walls, and each resident gets a shared or private room that they can decorate as they want.

Each day has a routine, although it may vary for each resident. Regardless, the caregivers work alongside residents to comfort them and make sure they're staying healthy. Meals are a big part of each resident’s care plan, and the staff cooks healthy and varied...

Our Family's Experience

I think the place was great. Nice staff, good activities and food. It just wasn't the right fit for my mom in the stage of dementia she was at.
