The individual rooms are nice but small with a small kitchenette area with microwave and small refrigerator, small sink, and cabinets for limited storage. Large closet. The bathroom is large and handicap accessible. Larger rooms are available. My dad has no complaints regarding the meals. He says they do a great breakfast. He is very fond of his caregivers and calls them his \"friends\". We have had a great experience with Amber Oaks. It took my dad a little bit to get acclimated to Assisted living but seems to doing well. He is thriving. I would give them a 4. #7 It seems as though many activities are scheduled and offered. My dad is not one for participation so he doesn't attend many of the planned activities. They work it so I'd give them a 4. #8. I think the value of Amber Oaks is very good. Before dad was placed I visited several facilities prior to Amber Oaks. We were trying to stay in a manageable budget and quite frankly many of the other facilities were more expensive and dad would have had to share a room. He has his own space, bathroom and a room with a view he enjoys. For $[removed]. To $[removed] less per month depending on the facility. So in my opinion the value is great.
