My mom is very positive, friendly and funny so that probably helps to encourage her caregivers. I only see a minor dementia issue.\n\nMom likes simple foods (not combinations) without adornment. Mostly meat, potatoes and fruits. This kitchen cannot or will not give her the food she wants. We supplement with bananas and healthy snacks but she is still losing weight- not unusual (I'm told) for her 96 years in age.\n\nActivities are plentiful if somewhat simple. But mom feels like she's missing out if she's not with other residents in the community room.\nIt's expensive but not excessive.\n\nMy Mom is in Memory Care One (part of the Assisted Living group- mostly those with a flight risk) as there is also a Memory Care Two at American Village which is unusual (the two levels).
