Excellent care

Beautiful and clean house with everything in infrastructure structured around seniors. They have non slip floorings and bumpers on the corners, wide doors, walk in showers, fresh cooked food all the time and most importantly the caregivers are very knowledgeable and helpful. They work with the needs of the residents. The backyard is perfect for those who like to get outside for fresh air and birds chirping. I once heard a hospice nurse saying that she wants to be in this house when she gets old. For me, that says it all!

We went on a tour and the staff was nice and they answered all of my questions. Everything seemed cramped in here. The rooms were on the smaller side. They did have a waitstaff and had an RN on duty. There was a woman shouting the whole time. I would recommend families tour as many places as they can before making a decision.

Mom's good Care

This is a nice community for my mom. She is getting great care. The staff is excellent and always helpful. They do need more staff at times. The food seems to be very good. Activities are offered for those. I would recommend this community for other families .

ARDC SCOTTSDALE HOME - SCOTTSDALE, AZ

Small group home 6-8 residents. Mainly dementia residents. My mom has received excellent care. They constantly monitor her. The kitchen is set up so that as the caregivers prepare meals they can see the residents in the living room. Another plus is that it is homey and the residents can savor the aromas of food being prepared which entices their appetite. The hygiene of the residents is checked on a regular basis and the two caregivers are extremely patient and work at the pace of the resident. There is also a nurse who comes monthly for regular preventive checkups.

Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the communities you’re considering. Learn more about Arizona’s regulations for memory care and download the Guide to Senior Living Licensure and Inspection Reports.

  • Tour the location. Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and it helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.
