Mostly the fact that they let her keep her cat, is what stuck out over others. It is nice and clean. The staff is friendly. The food is very good.

BEWARE - DO NOT RECOMMEND
BeeHive BROKEN ARROW had no idea what they were doing. The staff is not trained. They are operated from out of state. They tell you something then it's a lie. Not good place for anyone. They don't check residents like they tell you. They forget residents on eating. Not a good place. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

my mother's experience
They kept the common areas very clean, but they did not keep my mother's room very clean. Sometimes we would actually have to ask them to clean up. The majority of the people were friendly. The care services I would give it a 2 because there were workers that gave my mother absolutely great care but for the majority, she had a very difficult time to get people to come help take care of her. If she hit the call button many times it would take them forever to come answer it if they did come and answer it many times I had to call up there to try to find somebody to come take care of my mom. The lady who is in charge of beehive is the type of person to tell you what you want to hear to your face, but not really be honest or active in what you spoke with her about. Three because the food would be fairly decent, but they fed them the same thing over and over and over again, and my mom would get really tired of having the same thing every week. Activities is a one because the activities were somewhat nonexistent and what they would do with them is color or art projects.
The value for cost would be the lowest score I could give them so I guess that would be a one. They are over priced and did not have enough people there to take care of the facility and the patients. Many times she got ignored and because she ate her meals in her room she would get them cold. There were a few people there that did a great job, but the majority of the people didn't really care. The night that my mother died I called up there to ask how she was doing and the medicine aid was too busy to go check on her because she had just gotten there and was supposed to call me back and never did. So the next phone call I got was that my mother was dead from a different nurse aid that came on later that night. It was an OK experience, but it was horrible at the same time.

Our families experience
What we like the most about the Beehive Homes is that they have space for the residents to get around and it does not feel cramped in small hallways. The room is very nice and set up well and the staff is great and always polite.

Great choice for your loved one
It's a very clean nice and spacious facility. The food seems very enjoyable and the staff is usually pretty knowledgeable about your loved ones when asked.
I think it would be nice if they could offer more activities in memory care.

Great Communication
They've done really well. They're definitely trained to deal with residents thinking they don't need to be there. They're good at redirecting to change the resident's attitude and demeanor at the time. They're very efficient with prescriptions, making sure they're filled and administered in a timely manner. I find them to be very communicative. They have an iPad that you can text to, so they always respond fairly quickly. Admin has been great with communication - about any issues, funding, and just anything going on with Mother in general.

my experience
The community is very small so we hoped this would mean more personal care but due to covid, we have not been able to get into the community. Communication could be better with faster response times. I would recommend this community to others and already have.

It looks great!
From what we can see through the windows, the community looks to be very clean. They finally hired a chef and they are able to eat in the dining rooms so our loved one seems to be enjoying that. Everyone who lives there that we talk to seems to be very pleased.
