Her room is the size of a dorm room and she has her own bathroom. She's excited about the way she is decorated it and loves it. She likes being there, making friends and going to activities. We love that they take care of her meds for her that she doesn't have to get confused putting them in the cases. Everyone is friendly and nice and she is enjoying the food. Occasionally they have live music and enjoys listening to it. Us as her family are extremely happy because now she's safe. There are people around her. They check on her if she doesn't go to a meal and that's wonderful peace of mind. I was the one doing all the contacting for her finding a place to go since my father passed. Some of the places I called had a waiting list, rude or just not nice in general. Everyone I dealt with at Belle Reve has been wonderful, friendly and upbeat. There was no doubt that would be the place for her so I went to see it and it was clean there was no smells and everybody was friendly. There are a ton of activities going on including outdoor outings with there company bus, garden club, crafts, bingo, movie nights, and nail painting. There is definitely something for everybody. Even if you don't like to mingle the staff are still very friendly and try to make you feel at home as much as possible. The only reason I would t give 5 stars is because there are a few aids that dont change residents as soon as they should be. I understand they are busy and have a lot to do but some work faster than others.
