Thank you for inquiring about Bradford Villa. The Villas are privately owned by Danny and Jeannie Hattemar. Danny and Jeannie have been Residents of Quincy all their life. Danny builds and maintains the Villa's and works full time as a licensed plumber at Brinkman Plumbing contractors. Jeannie is a Registered Nurse that oversees the day-to-day operation of the Villas. As you will see,Bradford Villa has a much different style of living than the other Assisted Living homes in the area. We are not the "Cookie cutter"home.Our homes are not institutional looking. They sit on 7 1/z acres North of Quincy. They have a very warm comfortable feel to them from the minute you step inside the front door. You will not experience a high-pressured sales pitch. You will not be hassled by annoying phone calls after your visit. You will simply be given an informal,very relaxed tour. The different amenities will be explained,your questions will be answered and the rest will be left up to you. The entire Campus consists of 4 Villas. Each individual Villa houses no more than 8 Residents to make for a warm, more personable relationship with co-Residents and Staff.However,if you like to socialize with the larger group activities are planned with the entire campus of all four Villa's, which consists of 32 Residents at full capacity. There are no multiple hallways to try and find your way, the dining area seats eight around a dining room table much like that at home. All meals are home cooked and prepared at the Villa in each individual house daily. You are welcome to come and go as you please. Activities, daily exercise (Mon-Fri), monthly manicures, weekly beauty salon services, bible study onsite podiatrist, and library delivery from the Quincy Public Library are all available for those residents who wish to utilize any of the services. Each Villa is staffed with its own Staff of six caregivers. Three full time and three<br>part-time. All employees are required to have CPR training and criminal background record checks. The employees of the Villa are trained to leave their problems on the doorstep when they come to work and dedicate eight hours of their undivided attention to the Residents. They are reminded that NO Resident wants to be here, but would rather be home, so they are to make it the next best place for them to live. The owner/ Nurse manager circulates and works the houses regularly and at all hours throughout the day,evening and night getting to know the Staff well.Therefore, anyone not following the Villa's philosophy does not remain a part of the team. Residents at the Villa are welcome to stay by the day, for convalescent care,or to just “try it out”, or they are welcome to stay to the end of their life. Yes, there are guidelines that an individual must meet upon admission but after admission if the Resident starts to fail and chooses not to transfer to a long-term care facility they do not have to, but accommodations do have to be made. While allowing every individual at the Villa their autonomy and independence we also strive to maintain the Residents dignity and assist them with their daily needs with the utmost respect. The Staff at the Villa will make every effort to make this the next best place whether it be short term or long term.
