I think the facilities is great. I think there are some concerns when it comes to laundry and getting clothes back to the caregiver there's been a lot of missing things although they have offered to replace them. It seems to be a continuous thing and that's the major concern we have right now.

We were very happy with the respite care. Mom was happy and in good shape when we picked her up. The only problem is the lack of communication. Since my mom has Alzheimer's, she was unable to tell us anything about her stay and no one from Canterfield reached out with a report. We considered Canterfield for permanent placement, but ultimately did not choose them because of this communication issue. Respite care is hard to find and Canterfield was available. After a visit or two, I felt good about placing her there. It's clean and the people are very nice.

I have used Canterfield of Franklin for Respite Care three times already. Everything at this facility has been great! The staff was receptive and friendly with the residents, they spend time with each resident and check on them periodically. The food was good, the housekeeping was excellent, as was the communication with the family. The move in process was well-coordinated. I would definitely recommend Canterfield of Franklin to others.

I'm not sure if I would recommend this facility to family and friends. My loved one has been here for two years now. I still worry about him immensely. His 'side' of the facility (which is not where the nurses stay because he is more independent than not) seems to be mismanaged a bit because there is never ANY staff on that side. He has fallen a time or two and they have responded in a decent amount of time.. it's just concerning. The meals they provide are great for him and the facility is kept extremely clean.

My son is a resident at Canterfield. I cannot express the love and attention he receives at this facility. The new executive director, marketing & sales director, kitchen chefs, housekeeping, director of nursing & care givers are all WONDERFUL! If you're looking for a home for your loved one, look no further.......YOU'RE HOME!!!

This has been a good experience from the start. The original person I met with, was able to allow tour the entire community from assisted living to memory care with the residents being in the community. They showed me how the meals were prepared and how the community works with picky eaters. They showed all the rooms they had available and allowed me to pick the one that would work best for my loved one. I was able to meet with the caseworkers, chef, care workers, and more the same day of the tour, and then again when my loved one moved in. The community made sure that I had an after hours phone number and the director even gave me their cell phone number to reassure me of how to reach someone when I have a question or concern. Everything that I was expecting to happen, has had happen. They have even kept in touch with me when my loved one has fallen. My loved one is content being here. There have been incidences of COVID since my loved one has been in the community. They are good at communicating with the family about these incidences. They are very good at their protocols they follow to ensure the reduction of cases.

My mom has been at canterfield for one year and is very happy. The staff has been most helpful with any concerns we have and have done everything to make her stay very comfortable. Now with all her meds given as scheduled she is a new person. Thank you to everyone .

The industry would rise a notch or two if all facilities had a [name removed] (their Community Relations Dir). Because of her diverse talents and her willingness to help, she is always busy. She is one who truly cares about the residents - and it shows. There is always a smile and an outreached hand when she's present. So glad to be at Canterfield!
