Chase Point, [name removed] and her staff are amazing. What a wonderful place for anyone with a parent who needs support and yet wants to be independent. We feel blessed that we were able to find a place for my father here.

Nice looking memory care, would not recommend the skilled nursing
We've had experience with a few different sections of Chase Point, some good and some bad. Their memory care unit, Riverside, seems to do a very nice job and I would rate them a 4 out 5. I was impressed by what I saw when I toured. They have some good activities programs for the memory care residents, and the place seemed well kept and clean. However, we also had a brief experience with their skilled nursing section, Cove's Edge, which I was much less impressed with, probably a 2 out of 5. The staff were friendly and were doing their best, but the place just wasn't very clean or pleasant. There was a strong urine odor. It would be an acceptable solution for a short rehab stay, but I would never place my loved one here on a long term basis.

Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Assisted Living. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:

  • Tour the location: Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.

  • Confirm the availability of required services: Before you commit, make sure that the community offers all the services your senior needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.

  • Know the Maine regulations for Assisted Living: Each state has its own laws and inspections processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the community(ies) you’re considering. Learn more about Maine regulations for Assisted Living.
