Did not meet the claims they made
Our experience at the rehabilitation center was challenging to say the least. We encountered concerns regarding aspects of care from the beginning, including issues with medication, insulin management, and nutrition. Despite several discussions with the staff, there were instances where directives from the doctor seemed to be overlooked, impacting my mother's health. Throughout her stay, we observed shortcomings in wound care, response times, rehabilitation efforts, and communication. Despite efforts to address these concerns, the expected improvements did not materialize, and the care provided did not meet the facility's promises on her onboarding. There were instances that exacerbated the situation, such as delays in care and communication gaps. As a result, my mother's care fell short of what we had hoped for based on the facility's assurances. Reflecting on our experience, I advise thorough consideration before choosing Cross Timbers Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center for a loved one.

Not the place for your loved one
After a broken femur I went to Cross Timbers. Arriving late (10 ish) there was no one that met the ambulance or helped with getting established. No meds that night or the next morning. My pain level was a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. Two days later still no rehab started or discussed. I have no stomach and am supposed to eat every two hours. This didn’t happen. Food was bland and not nutritious. Every meal was the same. My room was not swept or cleaned in the 4 days I was there. One night around midnight I starting throwing up and no one came. My husband drove about 30 miles to help me clean myself up, clean the floor and the bed. He came in with no problem after hours, cleaned and left and we never saw anyone. Finally when they reduced my blood pressure meds without my cardiologist’s knowledge my husband came and took me home. I have a home health care therapist and am recovering nicely. Please inspect, inspect inspect.

Bad Experience With Staff and Services!!
While under the care of Cross Timbers Care Center my loved one was not doing good. The staff didn't communicate very well. The meals had no taste to them and were not presented well. The housekeeping was not maintaining the place clean and up-kept. I would not recommend this place we got my loved one out soon from there.

Frequently Asked Questions
about Cross Timbers Rehabilitation and Care Center

A Place for Mom has scored Cross Timbers Rehabilitation and Care Center 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
