During the weekend they have very young kids in security. The food in general is ok, at times very good and has a nice daily variety, you are able to ask for something else if what they're offering is not to your liking. That is a very big plus.\nThe facility is clean and has many many activities which is wonderful. They do try to keep the residents busy with different activities that they could do or share. I thought that was great. the rooftop\nis amazing, it has a wonderful view with a piano playing at all times. Just like the lobby.\nThe dining room staff in general are very nice with a few exceptions. There are a few employees that make it seem like they're doing the residents a favor. I have seen this on several occasions where there is no patience or courtesy. I went to pick up a resident's meal and one of the women was very nice while the other one was not very forthcoming or courteous. My friend who I helped with Flushing House was scolded in a rough manner for not bringing the correct take out bag.\nit's not what you say but how you say it.\nOne if the kitchen staff denied my friend an extra juice because he had already drunk two. Really!!!! I am at Flushing House 2-3 times a week and most of the time share a meal there.\nWhat is imperative in this type of job is patience, otherwise it is not for you.
