Although hesitant, it was time for Mom to move to a facility with some assistance. Harbor view met all of our needs of independent living but with supports - meals, rides, social activity, ability to keep her pets, housecleaning. Mom is very happy and we feel this is a good place for her.

The shuttle service at Harbor Village is wonderful! The staff always go above and beyond to accommodate my needs and make sure I get where I need to go. They are kind, helpful, and truly care about the residents. I really appreciate all they do to make life here easier and more enjoyable. The shuttle service and the staff who provide it are truly amazing! [name removed] makes me feel that no matter what her day looks like, my needs are what matter!

Moving Nana to Vermont and having her settle at Harbor Village has been such a wonderful experience. She absolutely loves it here! Being close to family means so much to us, and she has made some great friends along the way. It makes our family happy knowing she is in a place where she feels comfortable, connected, and happy. We are so glad she found her home at Harbor Village!

The employees acted like they were going through the motions I strongly recommend that any potential clients first study the Vermont state inspection reports for this facility There are far better options in the area

Living here has given me something I didn’t realize how much I was missing—a true sense of community. It is wonderful to feel connected to the people around me and to know that I am part of something special. There is always someone to say hello to, share a meal with, join for an activity, or simply sit and have a conversation. The friendships I have made have made this place feel much more like home. I love having my own independence while also knowing I am surrounded by people who care. The staff are welcoming and always make me feel valued and supported. It is comforting to wake up each day knowing I am not alone. I feel connected, included, and genuinely happy to be part of this community. It truly feels like home.

I have really enjoyed my experience living here. It is wonderful to have the freedom and independence of having my own apartment while also having so many services and amenities available to me. Having meals prepared for me is a huge convenience, and there are always options to choose from. The housekeeping service is also a great help and makes keeping my apartment clean so much easier. There are plenty of activities and social events to participate in, so it is easy to stay busy and meet new people. I especially appreciate having the shuttle service available for appointments, shopping, and other outings. It gives me the freedom to get where I need to go without having to worry about driving. The staff are friendly, helpful, and caring, and I feel comfortable knowing that assistance is nearby if I ever need it. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone looking for independent living with the convenience of meals, housekeeping, activities, and transportation all in one

My meeting with Harbor Village was really great! I had prepared a list of questions that were all answered. The apartment was very nice, and I especially liked that Harbor Village is in a residential community, with a lot of plants and trees--nature abounds!

There have been several errors on my bills. When I try to contact the person generating them both times I called for multiple weeks, leaving messages and she didn't respond. Took almost 3 weeks to get it resolved. Frustrating. I prefer to eat my own cooking for now. Wish kitchen (refrigerator and stove in particular) weren't EasyBake oven size. The rest is fine.

Staff is knowledgeable and understanding. Residents are very friendly and welcoming. Although it might be an older building, that is a bonus as the rooms are much larger. Parking is a little bit limited, but if your parent should no longer be driving, that turns out to be a benefit.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a musical event at Allen Harbor featuring the talented pianist known as Jazzou. His performance was unlike anything I have ever heard, the way he played the piano was absolutely mesmerizing. He knew so many of our favourite songs. What made the event even more special was how kind and personable he was. Jazzou took the time to speak with residents, making us all feel appreciated and connected. I also want to express my appreciation for the Life Inspired department at Harbor Village for bringing us such wonderful entertainment. Events like this bring so much joy to me.

Living at Harborview has been such a wonderful experience. One of my favorite things is relaxing on my deck and enjoying the amazing views every day. It brings so much peace and beauty to daily life, and it truly feels like home. The food here is also outstanding. The meals are always fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared with plenty of variety. Dining is something I genuinely look forward to, and the staff always make the experience enjoyable and welcoming. Another highlight is the incredible transportation staff. They are dependable, friendly, and always willing to help. Whether it’s a medical appointment, shopping trip, or geeting my nails done, they make traveling stress-free and comfortable. Their kindness and professionalism are greatly appreciated. I am so grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive community. The beautiful surroundings, excellent dining, and wonderful staff make this a truly special place to live.

Moving from independent living to residential care can feel overwhelming, but the staff at this Harbor Village made the transition incredibly smooth and comforting. From the very beginning, everyone was kind, patient, and understanding, taking the time to answer questions and provide reassurance every step of the way. The care team went above and beyond to make sure the move felt welcoming rather than stressful. They helped create a personalized plan that respected routines, preferences, and individual needs, which made settling in much easier. Their compassion and professionalism truly stood out, and it was clear they genuinely cared about the well-being and happiness of the residents. What could have been a difficult adjustment turned into a positive experience because of the supportive environment and attentive staff. Knowing that caring people were always available brought peace of mind not only to the resident, but also to the entire family.

My mom pays for a single meal a day, she is 95 and living in a 1 bedroom independent living space. The space is spacious with ample closets and kitchen appliances. Unfurnished otherwise. Cleaners come in once a week to dust and vacuum the floors. There are things for her to do but she keeps to her self. The cable TV basic offering comes with the room but phone and internet service is your responsibility. Meals are very well thought out and prepared. Mom has not used the transportation service that is available to go to certain stores and probably activities. I don't know she doesn't use them.. . There are three buildings one for independent living one for early problems in one for full memory care issues. The staff is courteous. This is not a high-end place that has happy hour and bands come in or things like that. However, they do have some basic activities.

I’m so excited about the recent remodel at Harbor Village ! The updates have truly refreshed the entire space and made it feel brighter, more modern, and even more welcoming. The new paint, and design flooring have given the community a beautiful new look while still keeping the warm and comfortable feeling we all love. I can’t wait to see the new furniture once it arrives! I’m sure it’s going to complete the transformation .It’s exciting to see !

I’ve been very happy at Harbor Village One of the biggest highlights for me has been the food! The meals are delicious and well-prepared. There’s always a nice variety of options, and the menu changes regularly, which keeps things interesting. I really appreciate that the dining staff . The portions are just right, and everything is served fresh and beautifully presented. Mealtime has truly become something I look forward to each day.
