My mom is very comfortable at Karcher. She loves the staff and they have been so helpful. [name removed] at the front desk is an absolute gem. [name removed] has the beauty shop, my mom adores her. [names removed] are all terrific. She had kind residents that helped her navigate in the beginning and have become her friends. She enjoys the craft classes, bingo, the monthly off-site lunches, and the music. She loves not having to cook for herself. She is not a picky eater so is mostly happy with the meals. There is always plenty to eat. There is transportation available but I take her to her Dr appointments and shopping. She is fortunate enough to have her own laundry machines. She appreciates that the housekeeping girls change her sheets and do a great job of cleaning for her. Is Karcher paradise for her, heck no. She is a ninety year old feisty lady who has always taken care of her home and yard herself. She hates losing her independence. She has accepted that and Karcher is now her home. She is happy and has friends and things to do. She feels safe and content. That's a win!

The recent change in "upper management" has caused nothing but turmoil for both the residents as well as the employees. Multiple employees, who have devoted their life to caring for, and making the lives of the residents better, have been recently written up and fired due to made up and unsubstantiated allegations, and all of this is because of the new executive director [Name Removed]. She has been caught sneaking around, and listening in on private conversations between employees, as well as the employees and residents conversations. When employees complained to PAC's HR department, it was brought to attention that [Name Removed]s friend worked in HR, and was reporting back to her what was being said about her.. this is both illegal and unethical. I would never put a family member in this facility, and I would never, ever, recommend this place for employment!

The noticeable changes in the new administration has been very noticed upon visiting residents. The facility was planned for an overhaul but thats been talked about for 2 years plus now and no real major changes other then the parking lot and roof got done last year with the excellent maintenance staff staying on top of major needs. The cost vs benefits is a huge concern when they keep upping the rent every year and taking more and more away. They used to have security patrolling the grounds and building but they cancelled that service as $200 a month Was to much of an expense for resident safety and is still to this day advertised on there flyers and websites,can't sign someone up on amenities then take those things away thats a breach of contract. I see alot of reviews left on here and most of them are friends of staff to boost there rating numbers instead of making true changes for the residents.

Karcher Senior Living is a fantastic facility, clean and in my opinion, well managed. [names removed] and the caregiver staff go above and beyond. Soooo many activities and amenities available! Honestly, I can't speak to the food as I'm not the resident but I can see there are multiple options available for every meal. The "studio" my parents are in is a little small for two people and a cat but would be fine for a single person. Larger apartments are available and are very nice. We may make that move in time. Overall, moving my parents there was an excellent choice!

The staff that I have meet are very nice and seem to be very caring towards my sister. The Karcher House is always clean and smells better than alot of the other places I have visited. The only bad thing is they dont have Memory Care, so when it comes to that time I will have to find another spot.

The fun activities and the wonderful staff that treat my aunt like their own family. Yes, we would without any hesitations recommend this community to other families. The only reason I wouldn't give them a 5 star review is because there has been a lot of turnover in the top management and because of a very small, two, number of staff that are lazy and impatient. They mostly work the night shift. They have sent my aunt to the ER more than once because of arthritis. Even the ER is like why? We can't do anything. It's frustrating because those staff don't foot that ER bill. They also are very impatient with memory issues. I would say I would NOT recommend Karcher for memory care at all. That said, overall, it's a wonderful place. It's a very small few that work mostly at night that drop the stars to a 4.

The community has a lot of potential and could benefit from some updates, as some furniture and carpet are a bit dated. While planned activities sometimes don't happen as scheduled, the staff clearly cares about the residents. It seems the community is going through a transition with some recent staffing changes, and there's hope that the new management will continue to modernize and enhance the experience for residents.

The cost of prescriptions was expensive. We did not have option of shopping for less expensive drugs. The facility used Red Rock Pharmacy. Very pricey with no other options available for acquiring non prescription as well as prescription drugs. Overall Karcher Estates provided [name removed] excellent care. In any facility the staff is the core of the program. Unfortunately there is usually one staff member who can be crude and nonprofessional. [name removed] run into this occasionally. Overall her experience was positive. Be prepared financially. Unfortunately for some of our loved ones there are no other options.

The food gets a 3 only because my aunt doesn't like the food. She says there is very little variety. She gets tired of the same thing all the time. Not a lot of variety of activities and not age appropriate in being a challenge. They are under new management as of a few months ago and there is very good and active change happening by the day. I'm excited about their future. Overall I couldn't ask for a better place for my aunt to be. I am so blessed to have found them AND you as well for helping me. I have referred numerous people to both Karcher AND a place for mom. Thank you and I'm so sorry for my delay in getting back to you.

Staff is friendly and very helpful. They really try to make things work for everyone. My Aunt and my Mother-in-law are both residents, assisted living and senior living, both are very happy and like the community very much. It's a good facility with really great staff

During the initial phone meet and greet which was informative, professional and exuded compassion. Once the patient arrived and was admitted it became apparent the staff was unable to provide the care that was going to be needed long term. I was told, NOT asked to stay with the patient overnight because they had other patients to care for and could not attend to him. I'm not a trained caregiver and was paying them to care for him. I Found this very odd and unprofessional and off putting. However, all staff at Karcher were very nice and several of the ladies went out of there way to answer my questions on the patients deteriorating condition.

We looked at numerous places before deciding on Karcher. They were the clear leader in our decision and have not failed to disappoint. Since movingly my aunt in, we have discovered a few disappointments like the food is not the greatest, the shortage of parking, and the bus consistently breaking down, AC not working great, and problems with the roof. However, they are already on the ball to fix everything. What I love the best is the people who live there are ALWAYS priority number ONE. Anything and I mean anything we have needed from a doctor to a dolly to repairs to her falling to advise on issues of aging to anything has been resolved quickly and taken seriously. This was a big move for my aunt. Not only into an independent living facility but a new state as well. She went from completely independent and trying to make it on her own to me AND Karcher constantly looking out for her. I cannot say enough good things about Karcher Estates, they have been an answer to prayers.

My loved one was previously a resident at Karcher Estates and she didn't like it there. She found the staff to be quite mean. She said she was getting scolded quite often and that they were resistant to provide actual assistance. She is now in a different facility and is as happy as a clam.

This is the only place I lookedin Nampa that is totally independent. All others were assisted living the residents are really nice and I have a full kitchen. I took a 2 bedroom 2 bath apt. I have my own washer and dryer a nice patio with privaciy cost is about what an assisted living would be.
