Originally it was a 4+ but the facility was sold and now I give the new owners a 3; they seem to be somewhat frugal. It's senior apts NOT assisted living, you need your own furniture.

Kittay was better when my Mom moved in. Since then they have been sold to another management company, even though the closing hasn't happened yet, the new Jewish home has completely walked away from the facility, they let go of most administration personnel and it has gone down hill from there. Security is not good, the food is still horrible (luckily my Mom was able to buy some appliances to cook as there's no stove. Overall she's happy with the activities and the director of activities (although right now we don't know if she will be staying) My Mom has met friends which helps from a social perspective but overall she's not thrilled and we would like to find another place.

Our experience was very enlightening, the director answered all our questions and even more. My so far is enjoying her stay and making friends. The staff are all great, the location is accessible, and the shopping area is in walking distance. We are thankful for A Place For Mom for their patients as we toured the facility and was pleased at what we have observed. Thank you for the experience and would recommend anyone who is interested in checking out the facilities to draw your own opinion.

Kittay House is very nice, but it is independent living. there aren't any group or planned outings something that would make life a little more interesting. I have a good friend that lives there and the staff is helpful with her. I think the food is fine. Her living situation is fine but she's terribly lonely. They do have group activities such as outside entertainment that comes once in a while it's just that it would be nice to get out of the building for an excursion once in a while - a museum etc. I think The Kittay House is a very good option for seniors because all the meals are included in the rent - therefore residents don't need to go out and buy groceries or cook in their apartment. The staff is very friendly even the security people are extremely nice. I've met some of the residents and they all are cordial too. it's very clean very friendly place. The location is nice and the views from the apartments on the upper floors are outstanding!

I’ve been here three months Kittay House and they’ve been no problems. Everything is great. The people are great and supervisory. People are great and I get housekeeping once a week. overall, my experience has been excellent.

I believe my brother in law liked the place and but he said a lot of time the meal is cold, but everything is is good, the people there is friendly and the room itself is cozy for one person . i say for the money that my brother in law can afford is good

Thank you to the staff, at A Place For Mom, for assisting me to find a more than adequate place for my mother. Well from my experience, and from what I have learned about the history of Kittay, is that they are well established and up to date serving the elderly that well reflected the way they treat the tenants and there family members with respect and dignity, and as far as the tenants they seem to have sense of fellowship. My Mother herself tells me about some of friendships and people she connects with... It's not a gloomy place at all, there's life going on in there...

The staff members have been very attentive to all of our loved ones wants and needs no matter what they are. They are all very personable and always seem to go the extra mile, they are extremely helpful. She does not always participate in the activities but she has gone to a few that she really enjoys. We have heard of no complaints so far with the meals and dining service. Based on our experience so far we would recommend this community to other families.

Activities are led by: staff, residents, paid and volunteer consultants and are included in the monthly service package. Included are things as diverse as choral singing, bingo, chair yoga, fine arts studio. There's a staff member who coordinates these as well as free entertainment every weekend. Housekeeping is once a week. Three meals a day in dining room, with the option of having lunch & dinner delivered to apartment instead. Overall, really good facilities, but a bit shabby.

I do not want to knock the facility at all because they were nice and gave us a good tour. For us personally, we did not care for the outside area. That was the main reason we did not choose Kittay Senior Apartments.

This community has good resources to help the seniors especially the Kittay house apts located in 2550 Webb Ave. Offers reasonably good services to the tenant, food, security, entertainment and is resilient in meeting the needs of the tenant. The outside stores are also good providers of what we need. i.e pharmacy delivery etc.

The first thing you'll notice about the Kittay community is its warmth and humanity. As you walk around, you'll readily see that staff and residents know and care about one another. Kittay is a diverse community of people who have lived interesting lives. The programming at Kittay allows residents to share and grow their interests, whether through lectures, discussions, film nights, art, musical programs, or other activities.

Kittay Sr. Apts are available to middle income residents. As such, I enjoy weekly housekeeping services and three daily meals. Activities are currently limited, but I am especially happy to be safely here at the time. Unfortunately, since we eat in our apartment, it is a bit difficult. Overall, to my knowledge, there is no comparable place available to us seniors!

My mother did not feel safe living alone so she came to Kittay and has been there about 5 years. The staff is so friendly and caring -- unlike other places we visited where all they seemed interested in was making money and really did not care about my mother. They have good programs to engage and stimulate the residents. My mom has also formed friendships with the other residents who are also friendly people and is very happy. To her Kittay is home.
