<p>Our kind, attentive staff members are available 24/7 to assist residents and have received specialized memory care training to best meet the dynamic day-to-day needs of residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Diabetic care, medication management, and incontinence care are among the many services we provide. For residents in need of more focused medical care, our management team schedules routine visits with local specialized health care professionals. You can rest easy knowing your loved one’s health and wellness are in caring, capable hands.</p>
<h3>Living Arrangements</h3>
<p>We offer comfortable, spacious studios and one- or two-bedroom apartments. All apartments feature excellent craftsmanship, crown molding, and wheelchair-accessible features. Large windows let in a healthy dose of sunshine and delightful views of the courtyards and surrounding landscape. All bathrooms are spacious and equipped with safety features. Whichever floor plan you choose, you’re sure to feel right at home.</p>
<h3>State Classification</h3>
<p>Lakeshore Assisted Living and Memory Care is a <em>Type B assisted living facility</em>. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:</p>
<h4>Assisted Living Facility</h4>
<p>A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:</p>
<p></p><dl><dt>Type A:</dt><dd>A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.</dd><br>
<dt>Type B:</dt><dd>A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.</dd><br>
<dt>Type C (Adult Foster Care):</dt><dd>Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.</dd></dl><p></p>
