A Great Facility.
The facility was a home. Great outdoor space and rose garden. The inside layout was easy to maneuver with a wheelchair.
Absolutely recommend to others looking! It was more of a home setting rather than a hospital setting.
About the facility Mauna Loa Oaks
Mauna Loa Oaks is located in Southern California in the city of Glendora, about 20 miles east of Los Angeles for those who are unfamiliar with the area it is a safe, clean and a family oriented city with alot of Parks, plenty of shopping, Theaters, Churches and hospitals.
Mauna Loa Oaks has a nice large backyard that's great for all outdoor activities. We also have an elevated garden planter that we will grow fresh garden vegetables in the warmer months.
Mauna Loa Oaks is a family owned business, we started this business to serve the needs of the elderly community that are so important to us as well as so many family's.
At Mauna Loa Oaks our residents will be treated as family because to us they are, they will be shown the Love and Respect they have earned and deserve.
Our mission is to take the best possible care of our residents and to make them feel at home in our family type environment

A Great Facility.
The facility was a home. Great outdoor space and rose garden. The inside layout was easy to maneuver with a wheelchair.

By the time my mother was transferred, she was sleeping day and night. She didn't last much longer. I wish we would've found Mauna Loa Oaks sooner. I really appreciated the compassion the staff showed us.

Mom's Home Away of Home
After having to move our mother from a facility that was not prepared to care for her. Then touring numerous Board & Care Facilities in the area. It was such a blessing that we found Mauna Loa Oaks. [name removed] and her staff are caring, friendly, knowledgeable and experienced in home care. In my opinion the families that select Mauna Loa Oaks for their family member will get the best care.
We're so blessed that our mother is able to stay in a home that was similar to the home that she once maintained.

[name removed] showed me around the facility. You can tell by talking with her that she has a real love and attachment to the residents. It's set up very comfy and doesn't give the feeling of it being a care facility but of a family home, which it is. [name removed] explained that many members of her family work there. Her mother was cooking in the kitchen when I arrived. Very nice backyard with brick walkways and gardens so that residents can walk or be wheeled around in wheel chairs. It was very clean.

I think that the people who are in charge of the Mauna Loa Oaks facility are really concerned about the residents that are staying there and they are doing their very best to keep them happy and well cared for.
