Great community that provides Quality Care, kindness and concern.
We placed my early-stage dementia diagnosed then 95 year old Mom in Pomeroy a few years ago.
Anxiety-riddled, we were in a VERY tough spot as she did not want to go, nor was excited about being taken from her home.
The staff not only ensured the on-boarding was flawless, but also helped her get integrated into the community but also helped us throughout the process with everything from one-in to "what do we bring".
Over the past 18 months, they have continually gone above and beyond, always with class and professionalism.
The care workers are really angels in disguise. There is a special place for them in heaven as they, universally, treat residents with respect and friendship.
When my Mom eventually passed last month, they shed and mourned like a family member.
I CANNOT give more praise and THANKS to a more-deserving group of individuals, charged with the care of our loved ones, under immense stress and challenges (yep, they made lemonade out of lemons throughout the pandemic).

Pomeroy Review
There is a high turnover rate of the department heads and of the hourly staff members. This has made it difficult for continuity of care for the residents.
Based off of our experience here so far, we would not recommend Pomeroy Living Northville to other families looking.

Thank you for your review of our community. Many industries post-covid have endured hardships and changes to the workforce. Senior Living is no exception. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the senior living industry is experiencing a 50% turnover rate. While these statics are prevalent, we strive to build a community that serves our residents and supports families despite statistics. Notably we have a core group of caregivers that have cared for the residents since we opened the community. Would not recommend
My dad wasn't a fit for the place, they only want people that sleep all day. Staff were often sitting on their phone and he did absolutely no activities. And the facility itself is nice. The care and staff were sub par and I would never recommend anyone to send a loved one here

While we cannot discuss your dad’s care online in a public forum to maintain his privacy, we can only say that sometimes a community may not be the right fit for you if we cannot properly care for the resident and their needs. Unfortunately, we were not a match and we do wish your dad the best of care on his journey.

nice community - would recommend
We really like the location of this community. We really like the fact that the employees are approachable if you have any questions, concerns or need any assistance. They are really good about following through with what they say. They do have different staff during the week and then on the weekends so it has been harder to get to know the staff, however we are overall happy with our loved ones decision to move into Pomeroy Living.
