Everything seems good there. It's hard for us to share feedback since we're not there to experience any of it. The place is clean. The staff is friendly. My MIL has expressed that they don't enough activity there or go outside enough.

I would give each category a 5. The only concern I have is they could communicate a little more. However, since Hospice is managing her now, Hospice does a great job of communicating. Definitely good value for the cost!!

Was very impressed with staff, management, cleanliness, were very caring, attentive to my wife, went to hand held food when she couldn't eat with utensils. Kept her on 30 minutes check up because of her falling. Called me every instance. Only got to stay there for 7 weeks, till she passed. Manager- [name removed] was an angel to me, will never forget her.

I would recommend its a good facility and caring staff. Only comment that I can make having never had to deal with a nursing home atmosphere is that i think the staff is very caring and keeps me informed on my loved one.

I just really enjoyed the more open space for my MIL at Best Care. The other places we looked at were either one or two hallways at an assisted living facility. [name removed] was so nice and very helpful. The location was perfect too. The cost was more affordable as well. So far, everything and everyone has been great. It took her some time to settle in but she's exactly where she needs to be.

Best Care is a great place to have a loved one with memory loss be a part of, though as with the rest of the country the "staff-to-patient grid" in healthcare facilities is subpar, there not being enough staff to provide the services needed in caring for all its residents. My mom is one of the more "quiet" residents, and it seems like she and other residents come secondary to the more "acute" residents needing more attention and care. This lack of adequate staffing seems to be a nationwide issue, which doesn't seem to be improving to me, being I have worked in the healthcare system for over 46 years.

Choosing the right place to place a loved one can be daunting. We visited 4 of them I think before walking into Best Care Senior Living at Lecanto. As soon as we did the walk through we knew we were in her new home. Right off the bat we saw how the staff interacted with the residents and the residents all seemed to be at ease with them in return. They were all in the common area, everyone visiting one another, smiling, some talking and a few just napping, but they seemed happy to have the fellowship of the others. We also noticed how clean it was and smelled. Now I'm at ease knowing that when she gets out of bed after getting ready to meet the day she can't wait to get to the common area, as she puts it, to see her friends. We know she's in a safe environment and that means alot to us. The staff are very attentive to the residents needs. If we do have a concern we usually go see [name removed], she has been our go to since day 1 and she is as kind as she is professional, we just love her.

Food isn't very good according to my mother. Personnel is so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this facility to others who are looking for memory care for their loved ones.

My dear friend almost lost her hand and her life last week from an infection after being neglected here. When I went to pick up her belongings, not one staff member asked me how she was doing. Instead, the business manager reminded me to make sure that I still send in her payment for the next month. ?? When my friend first arrived here, we were assured that they had in house doctors who accepted her insurance and that they are all inclusive. That was not the case. Weeks went by before I was notified she was out of her meds. When they found metastasized nodules in her lungs and referred her to a pulmonologist, I was told they would schedule the appointment and everything would be taken care of. Two months went by without hearing anything, only to call and find out that they dont have any provider's who accept that insurance in that county and I would have to take her myself. That is completely fine, but how am I supposed to know these things if they don't communicate that?

Really, I don’t think anybody wants to place a loved one in an environment outside of the family, but unfortunately in some cases it is necessary. Reluctantly I started looking for a place for my mom. I visited several facilities through appointments and showed up unexpectantly to see how the residents lived and were treated. For the most part the staffs of every place were nice, but I couldn’t get past the smell. I finally visited Superior. I walked the facility and the first thing I noticed was that it clean and there was no incontenence smell. Also, the residents could walk freely inside. In addition, there’s an outdoor area for them to walk, sit and enjoy a garden in the interior of the building. I apologize as I will miss the names of some of the staff, but all I have met have been wonderful and really do care for the individuals they assist and work for every day. Recently I contacted a Place for Mom and they helped me narrow down the different Alf’s according to my sister’s needs. I liked this facility because the residents could walk the whole building and had nice areas for them to be outside. The building is clean with no foul odors. The rooms are large and accommodating. My family is unable to provide 24 hour care that is needed. It’s important for her to have safe surroundings, care and support that she needs. With my medical background I was the one that looked for two days for the ideal placement for my sister. During this time my family was overwhelmed and Superior of Lecanto staff made this transition very easy. Within a couple of days of admission my sister became less agitated and relaxed in her new place. It takes special staff to work in a memory care unit and they have shown to be helpful and caring.

This place went to hell. Don't consider it. This place was ok 2 years ago. Started going down this year 2023. Staff turn over, a lot. They look young and inexperienced. Please don't consider this place.

All categories listed above for Superior residences at Lecanto would receive a 5. We have been very pleased with Superior and its staff. They watch movies, have balloon volleyball, ladies nail time, card games. My mother in law cannot really participate but she will sit and watch. They staff makes an effort to include everyone.

Our experience was not great. I would recommend looking for a different place for your family member. My loved one had to go to the hospital and was severely dehydrated - how does that happen in a care facility? I did not care for Superior Residences of Lecanto at all.

The people that work with my loved one are wonderful. The office staff are good but sometimes they can be more sells than the concern for my mother that the others that care for her show. The food is really good. I have eaten there a few times and liked it all of the times that I visited. They after lunch get everyone together and do wheel of fortune and family feud and different games. I know this is exactly where my loved one should be.
