Low Sodium Diet not option as advertised
Staff - good and bad, no different than any other facility
Activities - have not been attended much, but very happy they have added a Grief Group recently
Food - generally pretty good, but salty sometimes (huge issue - see false advertising that I will share last)
Apartment - very nice but not much kitchen cabinet space
Cleanliness - the weekly cleaning of bathroom and kitchen provided is not good - we have hired someone else to do additional cleaning because of this
False advertising - my dad needs a low sodium diet and Talamore lists it as an additional $[removed] per month, however after we had movers arranged etc, at lease signing the day before move in, we were told they do not offer that, but that "their food is low sodium, they make their own lunch meats, and salt is not on the table", But salt is on the table and I do not believe it is all low sodium (I have had a sodium reaction when eating there) - a year later that low sodium diet is still listed as an option so I checked again and it is still not offered, and [name removed] said they are leaving it in the list since they are 'always low sodium' - Minnesota Attorney General 's Office asked me to submit 3 different complaints regarding this (I have not had the time yet) - this is very bad for elderly that need low sodium

Thankful for the gracious staff and care provided
All 5s. We were very satisfied. she passed and is no longer there but what that's the part that matters. She was there such a short time and they helped facilitate all of the hospital runs & emergent care there. Only thing that they could work on better is communicating, it was hard at times to get a hold of someone in order to connect with her. She had Alzheimer's and would not answer her phone a lot so we would try to call the front desk and they said they were trying to send us to the nursing staff but every time we called it went to voicemail and we never heard from anyone. No one ever answered the phone and that was frustrating

Review for Talamore Woodbury
Staff and activities were very good. There was something going on almost all the time and staff worked to get residents involved. They were always happy to have family there and let us get involved too.
Food wasn't the greatest. It was like most institutional food. There is a happy hour on Friday afternoons that included special foods sometimes, and this was pretty tasty and a fun time.
The atmosphere is good. It is bright with lots of windows and nice garden areas.
I felt my loved one was in good hands and safe there.

our families experience did not meet expectations
All would be a zero. Her care was horrible and all they were concerned about was getting paid. Staff was no where to be found. She had a small bed sore upon entering the facility and they did not turn her like they were supposed to and she ended up hospitalized with a major infection on the wound that got substantially larger and ended up being the cause of her death. It was too deep and surgery would have been more painful and would probably not have healed from it because of the extent of the degradation of the wound while in their care.

Talamore memory care is the best!
I have recommended Talamore memory care to everyone who brings the subject up...They learn to know their residents very quickly and work with them to make sure they are comfortable. One of few memory care places that actually allow residents to go out in the garden since the wall is windows and they can see/monitor them. Family is also felt very welcome and valued.

My parents have been living at Talamore for about a month and they are enjoying their shared 1 bedroom, 1 den apartment, the activities, and the meals. I really like the bright, open, modern lobby and community areas, and that there are so many opportunities for my mom and dad to connect with other seniors and have social activities. The one drawback that they have reported is waiting a long time for meals - since they are served sit-down restaurant style with servers, and it seems they are short-staffed in the dining area. Overall, I am happy they are there - and they are doing well getting settled and welcomed in.

The building is beautiful and new. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food served is healthy and the choices are varied. [name removed] was so helpful when my daughter and I visited Talamore for the first time. He took his time with us and showed us the amenities and choices available for apartments. Attractive living environment. My mother loves the food and she sleeps well at night.
What we like the most about Talamore Woodbury is the New construction. Contemporary upscale décor. Safe areas to walk. Friendly residents. On site activities and services. Great chef! The place is very new, bright, and cheerful. Absolutely nothing like the "home" my grandparents went to! The staff seems to really work hard to make the whole experience easy for the customer. Very, very happy I chose Talamore for my Mom!!!

They are very organized and have some many options for activities, etc. She is in independent living and it's plenty big enough… They offer cleaning services, etc. and there's lots of activities from movies to bingo to bridge to outings, etc.

You couldn't do better than this!
Every person’s worst nightmare is having a loved one need to move away from home. Touring choices was depressing until Talamore turned out to be my “pot of gold” at the end of a dark rainbow.
At Talamore, memory care was just what I was looking for. I walked into a bright cheery area where staff were welcoming but also the residents - folks who were not “drugged happy” but genuinely happy to be living there. We returned the next day and [name removed] was excited about moving in.
My husband has now lived at Talamore for over five months- he’s content and I am pleased with his care. Activity directors have a varied daily activity plan and are enthusiastic and familiar with each resident. Everything is positive and inclusive. Food quality and variety is also a highlight of Talamore.
I hope when families are looking for a healthy and happy place for their loved one, they check out Talamore. It has been a God-sent answer to face the necessity of my husband living away from home contentedly.

I toured Talamore and absolutely loved it. When you look at places to spend your time there are often immediate reactions. This one was a wow! The apartments were so fresh and light that I immediately felt at home. I felt comfortable and safe in this space. Feeling safe even in a first-floor apartment for me was a first. I was there because I was possibly looking to move my mother from another senior facility. We decided to keep her there, because she wasn't wanting to move at her age. She is 98! All we could have hoped for!
I would give Talamore a 5 in all categories-at least to the best of my knowledge. For instance, we had little interaction with admin staff, but everyone seemed nice. The food was exceptional, delicious from my perspective but my mom ( the actual resident) complained. Maybe it was a little fancy for older midwestern palates. But they did have options. The setting was beautiful; cost of care was high, but completely comparable to other to communities. I was actually shocked that the rates were not higher once I was more aware of this particular market. The care was the most exceptional aspect of Talamore. The nurses, assistants & other medical professionals were always kind & respectful and seemed to love my mom. I observed all staff in all areas ( food service, reception etc.) would go out of their way to help, check on, greet, socialize etc. with residents & families. My mom died last week, and we have no regrets about her care during those last days. They kept her comfortable and peaceful, & helped us navigate this time. Staff also worked seamlessly with hospice . If I could rate Talamore higher, I would!
