I really was impressed with the site. -The public areas were open, airy and not dark at all. -The One-bedroom apartment was spacious and well laid out. -The people were friendly and polite. -Activities, meals, are very good with lots of variety. - My dad, who is really the person who needed to decide if he liked the site or not, also liked the open airy feeling. -There were a few minor issues noted, but not enough to reject the site. - One issue was the access to the inner courtyard by several doors. None of the doors had a push button to open the door for wheelchair bound residents. - Another issue was an antiquated use of paper and pen to register all visitors. Everybody is now using a touch screen to record the visitor. - Another issue was the use of a pendant to call for help. When activated, the system notified the staff, but I believe it didn't indicate where the person was at in the building. After all the tours we did, we finally decided on this facility with my dad's feedback

It was very nice! I really liked it!!! However the room was small. We found another place that was less money and bigger rooms.

The commons is not upfront about pricing. The continuously added charges that were not agreed upon. Also charged care fees when my mom was in the hospital for surgery and no longer lived there. I had to fight to get the fees removed. They are on the verge of fraud when it comes to erroneous charges.

The tour was excellent. The explanation was good, and covered nearly 100% of the checklist. I liked the building, the staff attituded, and the folks I met. The place is pet friendly. I think my mother-in-law would like it at The Commons. The only downside is that I now feel pressured to act immediately and place a deposit on a room when my father-in-law just died and my mother-in-law is not yet ready. This moved my rating down from a 5 to a 4.

The staff was very friendly and greeted us whenever they passed us. Didn’t see many residents, but those we did see seemed happy and friendly. It was a small community that felt cozy and easy to get around.

Nice place if that’s all you need. As far as care, good luck. You will not receive it if you are an elder who needs attending to. Mother fell twice under their care. Was ambulance twice!! Staff cannot handle those who need hands on care. The sold us in it, but did not deliver. It’s a sale they want. Laundry, poor, meals, the same menu for one month, care, dangerous. Good if you are completely independent, if not, I pity you.

Inviting and encouraging environment, supportive of individual interests and community activities ! Beautiful dining areas, reading library and TV lounges! Primary care staff and support personnel are always kind, cheerful and compassionate. Dining wait staff and meal service personnel are extremely friendly and responsive to individual requests. Management and supervisors are always accessible and responsive to concerns and questions. Housekeeping is excellent!

I toured this community and it seemed nice. It's a fairly new facility, so it looked pretty modern and up to date. The overall appearance was very nice. They were having a staff meeting during my tour, so that could be why the staff didn't seem as visible to me. The cost was a bit higher compared to other facilities in the area.

I thought they were very nice except for the person who was in charge of the memory care unit. I just really didn't like her. She was not caring at all. But the director was very nice and very accommodating. And even though they only kept my loved one for a couple of days and then kicked him out, she did show up on a weekend to be there. There were so many little things that were frustrating. They told me things they needed but not everything. So I spent two days running around getting things they hadn't specified. They refused to give my loved one his medications because the doctor hadn't signed his medication list. But they had never asked for a signature, just the list. I have to admit that my loved one had a medical condition and was very difficult. But if you're not used to taking care of people like that, you should be able to tell the family that you can't accommodate them upfront.

The management and staff were just amazing. Every staff member has gone above and beyond for our loved ones. The community is very clean and neat. I would recommend this community to others based on our experience.

My Mother has been living at the Commons for over 1 year and have seen it active with all the engaging activities and social event during the non pandemic times. My very active Mother, does not need assistance so I can't comment on that, however during the pandemic, I can say the staff have been very creative and have helped get my Mother thru the isolation. Staff is very responsive and have maintained their good humor and upbeat demeanor in spite of the situation.

She's been there only a month. The cost is expensive. The meals particularly stand out; they are excellent. It is assisted living; there is no kitchen. My mother needs more attention. They are very attentive to her needs. The caregivers are very attentive, and they work well with me. They keep me informed. I would say they do an excellent job. There aren't enough activities. I wish there was more entertainment, particularly more music. They have one field trip a week, and more would be nice. The location is just down the street; it's very convenient. It is working well for my mom. She is much happier.

The point system to figure out the "extra care" she will need is unclear until you get the bill. There needs to be a gray area for the care provided that is extra. Dementia is very broad and it's not fair to assume she is at the worst side of the scale. The cost for a very small room is very high to begin with so to add services that may not be required seems very unfair. I was told she will be watched so to be clear, we will be watching how well she is being watched.
