We placed her after an extensive search in the local area to the Cottages of Lacey. They group people mostly according to their stage of dementia and the amount of care they need. In my year of visiting with my mother on a very regular basis, I have witnessed the amount of wonderful care she's received there. All the staff know her, talk to her and genuinely care. They hire people who are natural care-givers. It's obvious. The care-givers approach their job with love. I've been very impressed--and after 1 year, can say I feel very good about my decision to have my mom be a resident at the Cottages.
