They had planned a birthday celebration and reached out to the community for birthday cards. She ended up receiving 115 birthday cards. My sister and I read each one of them. The Cottages didn't focus entirely on my sister's test scores. They saw past what she was struggling with and focused on the positive things she could do!\nEveryone is upbeat, patient, and caring. I'm so happy that the caregivers encourage my sister to participate in activities. She has rarely missed an activity since she's been there because of the staff's encouragement, so she is making new friends. The activities are many, fun, inclusive, and engaging. Also, the outings they have planned for January look great! \nThe place sparkles!\nThe only thing I can't rate is the quality of the food, because my sister has trouble expressing her opinion. But I will say I appreciate that they tell every resident before the meals, what is being served, and if they don't like or want what is being served, they can pick something else.\nThe Cottages are homey.
