Beware of the Magnolia House

Do not be fooled by what you see when they sell you a room. Josey cannot handle any resident that cannot help themselves. The owner's idea of handling a tough situation is to lock the residents in their room for 10 hours at a time. My mother missed meals and did not get changed for hours at a time. Even though they show you a shower my mother never received one. I am so sorry that I fell for their sales pitch. My mother never recovered from the stress of living there.

very unpleasant

I would not recommend Magnolia House or any of the properties owned by [name removed]. It is a business transaction, not a place of care for the elderly. My/my mom's experience was more than unpleasant. I keep wondering why some of the staff stays because some are in it for the care of the resident not for the money. I am grateful to a few of the girls that really did seem to care about my mom and her care.

Magnolia House, Debi, Tim and Staff are truly a loving, caring family. The residents were all up, eating, engaging and happy. My Husband and I both felt as if we had walked in on a family sitting around the dinner table. It was just LOVELY and CHARMING. Unfortunately for us, at this time, they have no openings. If you have the opportunity to get your loved one into this facility...GRAB IT.

Very pleased with the service

This community does a great job of taking care of my loved one. It is always very clean, and the activities and care provided are great. The staff are very friend, and since this is a very small community they are able to provide each resident with a lot of individual attention and care.

Tips for evaluating your community options

Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Memory Care. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:
