I was wrong. My Mom was 82 at the time, with arthritis and some mobility issues. I was unable to find a place that was suitable or safe. She naturally wanted to maintain her independence, but her safety was my priority. When I called a Place for Mom, I told them I was not having any luck, and would they be able to help me. They sure were, and they sure did! They were compassionate, knowledgeable and very resourceful. We were able to select an independent living facility, where she is very comfortable, and I know she is safe. Various community activities are available daily. They also have a highly trained team of physical therapists that worked with Mom, and improved her mobility issues, which is priceless to me. I think everyone who lives there is 55 or older, and they are a proper little mean they know, the everyone who lives there.
