The property is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. Everyone was so welcoming and engaging. I immediately felt right at home as soon as I walked in the door. The staff were so kind and nice and answered all of my questions. The residents were so welcoming that several people invited to sit down with them at their table in the dining room to have lunch. What an amazing group of folks! The prices fit right within my budget too!

All 5s. What we like the most about the community is that the staff members are wonderful, and there are always activities. The residents are also very engaged in the community. They are accommodating and friendly staff and we like the active community. Also, the grounds are extensive and well maintained. Yes, we would recommend San Marino Retirement Community to others.

I recently toured The Lodge Retirement Community in Sisters, Oregon, while looking for the ideal place for my mom—and the experience was absolutely incredible! This senior living community in Central Oregon stands out with its unbeatable location in charming Sisters, a quintessential small town that feels like a movie set, complete with friendly smiles from passersby on the sidewalks, yet without the hustle of downtown Bend. Nearby, there are fantastic coffee shops, great restaurants, and boutique stores—all easily walkable. The units feel like upscale apartments with private exterior doors and patios, promoting true independence rather than a closed-in institutional vibe. Plus, abundant parking makes family visits effortless, giving me more reasons to see my mom and revisit one of my favorite West Coast towns. For anyone seeking independent living in Sisters, OR or top retirement homes near Bend, this is a must-tour gem offering a vibrant, maintenance-free lifestyle.

What we like the most about the community is that it is very clean with amazing people who work there. They are kind and caring. Fast to respond when needed.

My father did not attend any activities, his choice. My Father needs to be told that he needs to shower, change clothes, get up and walk around and go outside. It seems like he needs more care than an Assisted living facility can provide due to his dementia. My sister was not happy with the fact Dad did not shower for 2 weeks. I understand that. Maybe an Adult Family home would be a better place for him. We are still looking at respite care for him.

The staff was super friendly, very helpful, and had great attitudes. The facility was older, but very clean and the rates were very reasonable. Also, the food was excellent.

Overall I am completely satisfied with San Marino- it's been the best thing I have done for my mom. She's active now and is eating more than she did before. Great experience and most importantly she is happy.

Overall a 5 except cost of med management they need to see if they could lower that cost. I like San Marino very much I did not know med management was so expensive though. $[fee removed] or 8 pills is expensive for someone to afford. It is a good place except for that. Very friendly staff facility clean well kept.

I would say five for everything except the food. I would give that a four based on what my mom has told me. She is extremely happy there. Starting from when we pulled the moving truck up in front of mom's unit, every person we met knew she was coming, they wanted to meet her and welcome her, and it's just been a very smooth transition for my mom. She really likes her apartment and she really likes all the staff and her neighbors. I can't say enough good things about San Marino or about A Place For Mom for helping me find this place for her. It's been excellent across-the-board.

The staff were always kind and attentive when I had questions. The facility is much like others we considered, but San Marino was the best value.

My stepfather was in a studio apartment in assisted living recovering from a stroke. I’m a retired physician and have been in many facilities throughout my career and this facility is tops in every way. The grounds are incredible and the minute you walk in it’s bright, light and welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful from the front desk, nurse, maintenance, dining room, CNAs, sales and management, physical therapists etc. Communication was excellent as well. I can’t say enough about this facility and our experience. Thank you

My mom. Loves this place. Good food and many choices to eat. Friendly and helpful staff. Many activities available daily! We picked this community because of the activity calendar very busy! The friendless of staff.

We are tremendously appreciative of the staff at Fountain Court. They are incredibly attentive and responsive to my loved ones needs and concerns when they arise. They’ve worked hard to make our loved ones. Transition from independently to senior living as smooth as possible.

My mom moved into Normandy Park Senior Living a few months back and it has been the greatest gift for her! She is involved in all the activities and looks forward to all of the outings and experiences that she is making with her new friends. The care staff have just made her feel so empowered and willing to participate in her own health, that is something that she has never done before! The executive director has been a joy to work with she is always available for anything I have needed in this process it was such an easy move. She talked with my mom when we decided to move her, mom has been resistant to move for years! One conversation with [name removed] and she is moving in! Mom is overall healthier now because she was not eating right at home and now she is eating all the things she is supposed to. The housekeeping lady always has her room spick and span ! It is like a transformation in mom, her mood, health and attitude towards life ! I would recommend to move your family here!

It seems to be a resident focused, well run facility. Otherwise they don't take Medicaid. I would recommend San Marino Retirement Community to others looking.

Everything at San Marino is great minus the means and dining service - they have a repetitive menu with a cafeteria - large batch taste and scent

San Marino Retirement Community was a good match for my mom who is still very active at age 90. The apartments are nice and spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Meal times are somewhat flexible. The facility is nice and well maintained with beautiful outside area with gardens and walking paths. Overall a good choice for a somewhat reasonable price in the current pricey market.

San Marino is a lovely community. Yes, I wolf recommend it.

This past May the community had a senior prom for the residents who were taken on a short 30 passenger limo ride, met at the front doors with people taking flash photography and the red carpet. Later there was a dance with delicious desserts. Amazing
