Courtyard Manor

I am grateful that we choose Courtyard Manor of Farmington Hills. My fathers health was on a much steeper decline than we realized. Not too many places would have been able to provide the quality of care at the level that Courtyard did, nor the range that was needed. I should also add that [name removed] from a place for mom was very helpful. Twice, actually. Highly recommend a conversation with [name removed] for anyone in Detroit area who has such a need.

I toured this community. I would suggest them as an option for assisted living, but probably not the best fit for memory care.

This is a very clean community. The nursing staff are very friendly towards my mother all of the time. They have activities like chair exercise programs, arts and crafts, trivia and bingo, games and more for the residents to do. What they don't have is a music program which is what I would like to see and have been requesting and pushing for in the community.

This residents are very well cared for and carefully watched at this community. This is a great memory community for your loved one. I have no problems with the staff and everyone is very polite and very caring with my loved one as well as me. The tour was great but upon the arrival there were some things that were not ready when my loved one got there. He had to lay in the bed a few days until everything arrived.

Courtyard Manor had an extremely hard working staff who were willing to deal with difficult situations. The everyday staff were very hands on and should be commended for their efforts. They tried their best to keep my loved one comfortable while they required an advanced level of care.

It is a great community. The community is clean, and well kept. I feel there isn't enough activities and this may be due to the pandemic. They don't allow weekend visits which makes it difficult for families to visit.

My mother is doing well here at this community. Everything is working out very well. She is receiving great care at this community. I'am pleased with all they have done for us.

I toured this community for my mother and I was very impressed with what I saw. From what I saw the community is very well maintained, everything looked nice and clean. The staff was courteous and welcoming. They were informative and answered my questions. If my mother is to move here, I do feel that she will be in good hands. I feel like this would be a positive atmosphere for her.

Staff and care level at the facility are both very good. The rooms are spacious and clean. The community room is primarily a dining area and TV watching area. The number of residents is low (20), allowing a low staff to patient ratio. One criticism would be that the facility has few organized activities for the residents. Individual activities are not restricted, and family has easy access to the residents, but interaction between the residents doesn't seem to be encouraged or facilitated through group activities. Location of the facility is nice, and parking is sufficient. Outdoor areas are easy to access, and friendly to individuals in a wheelchair. Overall it seems to be competently managed, and responsive to customers.

It's clean and the staff is friendly. She is doing a lot better there. They are able to meet her needs. It's still pretty new, it's only been a few weeks, but so far, I would rate them pretty highly.

The Staff is caring and friendly to my Dad. He gets along well with all the caregivers. They are also respectful and helpful with family members. Very nice and well kept facility.

I really liked what I saw here. The facility itself was nice looking, all of the residents appeared to be happy and well cared for, and the staff were all friendly. Unfortunately the level of care just wasn't appropriate for my loved one, but someone with lower care needs would do very well here.

She was there for about a year but then they raised the rates and I couldn't afford it anymore. They were very nice, I really liked it. They were open to visiting. There were times I was able to put my mom to bed at like 8 or 8:30. I would take her and get her dressed for bed. They would often get their people dressed around 6 or 7 and put them in recliners to watch TV but there were a few times I was able to tuck her in. Sometimes I wonder with the Alzheimer's what she thought of the place.

Very nice facility and staff; Also, they have at least a 4-month waiting list, which I wish they'd told me before I spent so much time there.

the Director was very warm and inviting, loved the way CM was layed out. Same as above regarding dad's wounds and personality. My biggest concern is the distance.

My husband has been here for some time and now he is doing fine. The staff improved with the behavior from my husband. With the improvement, it helps to keep in contact with the staff to ensure they are on top of it.
