I think this place would be good for my mom. It is a home with a max of 8 residents.

They're awesome. My grandma lives there. She's not helping them out. They're very, very kind to her, considering. They're great to me and to her. They're very understanding of my situation and very patient. Assisted living and nursing homes are too expensive, but they all are. They have activities, but my grandma is not going to engage in them.

After having rocky start things have settled down. Moms quality of life has improved she is walking more socializing more with people who are her own age. She seems to be happier she really likes the staff here. They encourage her to do things to the point where they have assigned her another resident that needs a little extra help and that makes mom feel useful. They have a dentist come in once a month along with other doctors and visiting nurses to do blood pressure things like that. The food is good maybe a little too good mom is gaining some weight. They offer activities like exercise classes. So choosing this place was the right choice.

The house was clean, large and roomy. The home is near park where you can take your loved one. Quiet neighborhood. The emergency plans and other pertinent info was pinned to the wall, very visible. The bathrooms are decent sized with raised toilet seats and shower seats and handheld shower heads. The rooms are shared, two twin beds in each room, somewhat on the smaller side. The great room where the tv is, is large with recliners for the residents. There are three (3) caretakers 24/7 available. They do have home health teams tending to residents during the week days. They have a strict plan regarding medications (locked cabinet, daily menu (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks), however I did not note an activities calendar. Visitors welcome every day from 10-6/open other hours with notice.

My mother has recently made the move into this community and so far things are going well for her. The staff have been easy to work with and I am comfortable with the care they have provided her. She has had no problems with the meals and enjoys participating in some of the activities from time to time with the other residents. We have had a few minor issues but that is expected and we are working through them.

I liked this care home when we visited. The home looked clean and the caregivers I met were nice. This home was smaller than what we were looking for.

I was not impressed with this home. It was very dark and depressing.
