The staff interacts with the residents all the time. They are so kind and concerned about each resident. The atmosphere between the employees and resident is relaxed and enjoyable.

My father is thrilled with his new home. After a rough experience, he’s found just the right place. The room, the meals, the residents, and the caring staff have been an absolute godsend. The whole vibe of Heritage Avonlea has improved his overall health- mental and physical. He is happier and healthier than he’s been in quite sometime. He’s especially fond of [name removed]-Nursing Director and [name removed]-Activities Director. Affordable, attentive staff, and all around awesome community!

I think the best referral ever is the one that I received from the residents themselves. During my tour, I was told several times by residents how they loved being at Hairitage Avonlea. The rooms were spacious, there were lots of activities and the rapport between the stuff and the residents was wonderful. The activity calendar was full of fun, educational, and physically engaging things to do. There is an overall sense of joy in their community.

The staff is very friendly and easy to work with. It's very clean and they keep up with any repairs. Communication on how my loved one is doing has been almost nonexistent. I have yet to hear from the doctor on visits that were made or tests they did. I had to ask specific questions to get information. We went there because it was a facility that would take Medicaid as soon as it went through. It's okay, but I don't think it's a place I would have chosen in the first place. He is getting the care he needs and he's safe, but I would like to see better Communication.

Compared to other area Assisted Living facilities in the same price point. The quality of service, amenities & services are noticeably less. It appears that the majority of the residents are on some kind of government assistance. I was unaware that this wasn't a private pay facility before our decision was made. This is probably why the quality of services/care is less than present. I would be hesitant to recommend this facility for a private pay resident.

This place is fine if all you need is a place to park someone. If you need any extra care at all, this is not the place for you.

Not good. Her laundry is coming back wet. Her trash overflows. Her door doesn't lock. I wouldn't recommend it.
