The grounds were clean and well kept; the staff were helpful and willing to listen; the apartments were clean and quiet. They also have “ambassadors “ to help the “newbies” get accustomed to the surroundings! How very thoughtful. I believe Haywood Estates/Barclay House is the right fit for our mom.

It was a great experience from beginning to end. Everyone was very welcoming and they helped us through a very difficult situation. I would recommend. Especially for someone who didn't qualify for Assisted Living as in our case. They took care of her very well even though Fairmont is an "Independent Living"

Great site, great staff I enjoy interacting with and they have been attentive to my mother and what she needs. I would recommend the Blake if anyone asked.

Truthfully, I would give each category a 5 for River's Edge. My brother and I both said we could live there easily. Rivers Edge was a good experience for us. My sister is still adjusting, but seems to like it.

Approximately five months ago [Name removed] moved to Dogwood Terrace. He is settled in and very pleased with his new home. I am glad he has access to assistance as needed and many opportunities to be with his peers. We continue to be pleased with the move to Dogwood Terrace.

The whole place had beautiful open spaces for residents. Every staff member I met was remarkably friendly and upbeat. The place felt secure but not boxed in. The outside spaces and gardens were lovely. The place was spotlessly clean.

Every person we met was lovely. [name removed] did an amazing job at helping us to make a reasonable move. We are very excited that dad is moving in in the near future. Thank you [name removed]!!!!!

My parents lived in a 1st floor 2 bedroom with outside access and patio. It was a beautiful layout with plenty of room. The food and service were terrific. [name removed] is so kind and upbeat with all the residents. Even visited my father when he was in the hospital. I highly recommend Smokey Springs! We only had to move to receive more care (nursing home).

My room is very good. Living room with full size fridge. Bedroom is very good size. Large bathroom, shower w/built-in seat. Food is very good, many activities . Very happy here.

What we like the most about the community is their staff, the food, the various care levels, the cleanliness, the security, the cost, and the updated apartment areas. We found absolutely everything great. Had no complaints.

Dad is so happy. The food and the activities are great. He wants to be on the first floor and the staff have been great. He will be moving to the first floor in a couple of weeks

It has been a wonderful transition for my sister in law. [name removed] was really great at listening to my sister in laws concerns and making her feel comfortable.

Deepwood Estates Independent Living is a well-maintained community that cares about its residents. Management continually invests in updates and improvements to keep the property attractive, comfortable, and welcoming. Communication is excellent, with management keeping residents informed about events, activities, updates, and community changes. Residents feel heard and valued. The staff is friendly, professional, and supportive, helping create a positive atmosphere and strong sense of community that makes Deepwood Estates feel like home. For those seeking an independent living community that is well cared for and well managed, Deepwood Estates is an excellent choice.

The Sales Manager[Name removed] was very helpful and the options for care with independent providers was fairly priced and easy to set-up. Room is a nice size

I chose Whealdon Estates because it had the most benefits for the money. So far I'm happy here. I would recommend Whealdon Estates to others. The staff and residents are friendly and the accommodations are comfortable

This community has such a joyful atmosphere. One of the dining room staff members even dances while serving meals, which always brings smiles to residents’ faces. The food is excellent — definitely not “hospital food.” Several new residents who transferred from other facilities have commented that the meals here are much better. The community also offers special outings every month. This month, residents enjoyed a trip to the zoo. The grounds are spacious, beautifully maintained, and filled with manicured green lawns and trees ??. Before moving in, I toured at least eight facilities, including three in Virginia. I ultimately chose this community for myself, along with [names removed]. We moved into a lovely first-floor two-bedroom, two-bath apartment with a large covered patio and a small screened-in porch. Kudos to the hardworking managers and staff who truly “run a tidy ship.”

What I like best about Laurel Grove is that it IS a Community full of interesting, friendly people with neighbors who genuinely care about each other.

My mom went from being by herself, trying to prepare her own food take her own garbage out, clean her own home and worried to drive anywhere to living with all of her friends having breakfast with all of her friends prepared for her off of a menu going to Walmart once a week with all of her friends playing cards with all of her friends, watching movies and listening to live music with all of our friends. It is truly life-changing. I would highly recommend to others. My mom is very happy. Doesn't have to worry about her meals or transportation, and has made lots of new friends.
