Vibrant Life Senior Living

Our mom was a resident at The Lodges of Durand . She received excellent care in a very warm and welcoming environment. Towards the end of her stay there she was on Hospice care. The staff of The Lodges worked with Hospice so that our mom could be with people she had come to love in a place she had come to call home. This was a tremendous comfort to us. We will forever be grateful.

New Friends Memory Care & Assisted Living is a wonderful community. The staff goes out of their way to help me with the difficult transitions of when I have to leave my dad and he wants to go home. Recently my dad and I enjoyed listening to musical entertainment that they had come in and it was absolutely wonderful. He enjoys the story time with staff and residents, they keep him involved with their projects and that helps keep him calm when he is engaged. I've dined with my dad and the food is the excellent dad has no complaints. I do wish they had different options if they did not like what was on the menu. It smells wonderful and clean, the environment is very warm and homey. Transportation is available to the residents for shopping and outside excursions, and they always try to get the residents to enjoy the outdoors at least once a day to get some fresh air. I feel very satisfied that we made an excellent choice for my dad in this community.

I am the POA for my Aunt. A month ago I was faced with finding a facility for her. I spent 4 days in touring facilities all around the southern Michigan area. Many facilities had a fantastic and "rich" look / environment. But the overwhelming decision making was the Vibrant Care staff. From the minute that I walk through the front door and meeting everyone along with observing, the commitment to care for my 86 year old aunt is unbelievable. To make sure that this fantastic quality of care is consistent, I waited a month to complete this survey. I can not say enough! I can not say enough. If my aunt was able to have made this decision I am sure she would have also selected Vibrant.

Things are clean Residents seem content My moms mood is better She says the food is ok, communication Is just ok. Calm environment Staff is mostly friendly place is very clean Residents look clean and seem to be busy a lot of activities when I visit Those that can move around easier than others have room to wander and look around Lots of windows and trees and nice landscaped areas With a nice outdoor patio with tables and umbrellas

Good care for the price and a great location Close to my home people are friendly both staff and residents need additional staff to help care for everyone when people don’t come to work security is good need a chip to enter the facility

Cleanliness- excellent Friendliness of staff- it varies. His regular aid is outstanding. Another one insisted his name was something it was not (not terribly impressed) The rest I would rate 4 or 4.5/5 Activities- he likes to be alone Dining experience- friendly dining attendants. He says he likes the food.

I can't comment on the activities because I didn't use . What I like most about Vibrant Life is that it is a smaller facility clean and home like. Improve on communication, but I know everyone is over worked and short staffed.

One problem Vibrant Life Superior Township seems to have is the inability to keep enough staff to do their jobs effectively.

Memory and physical care made better by kind and caring staff. They are currently updating their van with wheelchair straps, but could also use more staff to take residents on 'outside' trips. No matter where you have to place your loved one, it's hard; however this is the best possible fit for our family.

I can never get an answer when I call. Always have to leave a message, if anyone does answer. Also my loved one says he is intimidated by some of the staff. I know he can be difficult at times, but I think there are other ways to handle the problem. It was also the best value for the cost. Your agency was very helpful and made a difficult experience much easier.

Cost was good for the the services he needed and safety they provided him. The staff loved him. They were always there for him and us. I did not think there was a huge variety, but he was always ready to eat and was happy. Never complained about the food.

I toured Vibrant Life and it was a very nice, but older facility. They have a nice concept with the different living cottages. The director was kind and so were all of the other people I met. I didn't feel like they had enough going on, they seemed a bit disorganized. I'm sure they're still working on things after the impact of Covid. If they keep on track, I'm sure they could be a great place for some people. The community was clean and friendly, they seemed like they had a good staff environment. We chose another community because Vibrant Life just wasn't the perfect place for us.

The main thing is to make sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to the care of your loved ones. Communication was not the best but they did return calls in a timely manner. I would recommend this community to others.

The community was comparable to other communities. They did accept Medicaid and this was one of the reasons we chose them. I would recommend this community to others. I was very impressed with their covid plan and they have done a great job keeping the residence.

My mom and I toured here while looking for a place for my dad. Their waiting list was very, very long and just to get on the waiting list was $600. The staff was attentive and polite, the facility looked pretty clean, and whenever someone needed help, their assistance alarm didn’t go off too long. We were shown the activity room and the dining hall and that seemed fine. It was a pretty big room and the level of care was dependent on the resident. But they were almost like cottages; when we went, there were people outside and enjoying the sunshine and that was nice.

I toured this community for care. They had the excellent staff. The community was nice and taken care of. The dining room was nice but we did not see the meals or a menu.There are a good variety of activities. We would recommend that families take a look at this community for the care of a loved one.

I was looking for a place for my mom and New Friends was a clean pleasant facilities, but I didn't feel like there was enough activities for her. Through my search I realized that my mom was more independent than the people in assisted living facilities. I am sure this would be a good place for some.

The new rehab was very helpful and communicated with family often. The day to day varies drastically depending on how many and who is working. Some think they are doing you a favor and have a major attitude. Others are extremely helpful and caring.

That there is not a nurse there at night. The aids do the best they can but are sometimes overwhelmed with work. The rooms are small; a bed, a bureau, nightstand and a chair fit and that's all that will go in the room. The most popular activity is bingo but they do try to do some other things
