Loving environment
My husband has dementia and aphasia so finding words is hard for him. I have experienced love and patience from the care gives as he tries to communicate. On many occasions numerous care givers have told me they love him. The facility is colorfully decorated for many occasions. They also have parties to include family on Valentine’s Day, Fair Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Home has code-necessary entries to the building and main structure so I can enter whenever i want and stay as long as i want. I feel truly blessed to have my precious husband in such a loving environment.

Best memory facility in the state
I moved both of my parents to Arden Courts in 2020 from another memory care facility. It has been night and day difference. My dad passed away in 2020, and my mother still lives at Arden Courts. The staff there treat her with care and love. I have been visiting regularly for five years. The same staff members have been caring for Mom that whole time. They know her and know me. They also know the other residents and interact with them respectively even when the residents are difficult. They treat the residents like you would want your Mom to be treated. They laugh with them and celebrate milestones with them.

Not good with more challenging residents
I had my mom at Arden for 2.5 years. She has Frontotemporal-Type dementia (never formally diagnosed) and the staff was unable to effectively care for my mom. My mom chose to isolate in her room, not shower often, rarely change her clothes, and they let her do all these things. I was convinced that my mom couldn’t be helped and that I just had accept that she was difficult…the staff (including the director) pretty much agreed! He told me that they would keep her room open for a short time, as she may not have been successful at the new place. Several of the staff were nice enough, but there was a lack of training (for more challenging residents), that I didn’t realize before. My mom has since been moved to a much more qualified place and it is so much better for her. Night and day difference, and I am very thankful that we changed places. My mom now participates daily and is taken care of. Totally worth the move.

My loved one enjoys the variety of the food options. There has been a recent price increase. The care during the day is better than the care at night. They need to be more aware of the caregivers on the night shift.

Tour of Arden Courts
I toured Arden Courts of Richardson Memory Care and got a warm fuzzy feeling. It's a memory care only facility, and I know 2 people who have loved one's here and have had a wonderful experience. I'm moving my mom in soon.
They have a nursing staff 24/7, so they're there all day everyday. They're also allowing me to put a camera in the room, whereas her previous community didn't allow me to. Arden Courts has a 3rd party hospice company that comes in and has an office inside the facility. They're available 5 days a week. They were one of the only places who could tell me the staff to resident ratio, without including the kitchen staff.

A big relief and peace of mind
We have been really pleased so far with the Arden Courts community, and the staff members there get 5+ when it comes to their friendliness. Our loved one is a picky eater and we have only heard good things about the food - no complaints as of yet. She also seems to be doing really when with all the activities they have to offer and based on our overall experience we would recommend them to other families.

The management is very nice and accommodating. This community has been here for a long time. The staff they have working has been there for a while. I feel the community is understaffed overall. There is no odor in the community and it is clean.
They have a lot of activities available for the residents to participate in. They were renovating the community and didn't have a recreation area for the residents to use. They had singing, exercises, and more for the residents to choose from.
The residents are able to go out and walk or be outside in the secure area.

The decision to place my husband was difficult, but it was made easier by the concern and care he has received during his time at Arden Court. There is genuine concern for his well-being by all staff, even those not directly responsible for him. This is an exceptional memory care community. I felt a connection with my first phone call. The executive director coached me on hot to get my spouse to the facility, where we were met by four welcoming individuals. Everyone on staff is engaged with resident and family care and support. Review of Arden Courts
My father lived at Arden Courts for 19 months. He had Frontal Temporal Lobe Dementia (FTD). The caregivers were familiar with the disease and cared for him with patience, humor, dignity, and respect. He said he was happy there, which made it to where we, the family could relax.
