The place is terrible the food is terrible they need more resident aides and I see the turn over is very heavy not sure why. if you ask each resident separately they would confirm these concerns it in a. Open format they would be afraid.

I met with [name removed] who was very friendly and knowledgeable. She gave me a nice tour of the facility. The residents who were in the common areas seemed well cared for and happy. The place is warm and cozy. The interior is retro which is nice for the residents since it is furniture that they were used to.

If you took a survey of the residents they would tell you the food they are giving is very questionable. I had the occasion to have a breakfast. The item u had was very bland the syrup was terrible. I know there are many reasons they have sugar free products but no options were given to those that have none The place is very clean. The residents staff are wonderful I would like to see more afternoon activity provided the residents just sit around and many go to their rooms very early and things get boring for them

They have been nothing but amazing. Mom loves it there. Beautiful rooms, excellent nursing and administrative staff. Food good, they are always having little meetings with residents to get feedback and suggestions.

When others hear my mom is in a assisted living they are always intrigued to hear what great care she receives They go by horror stories they hear about but Not at Brandywine governors. Mom has no complaints she enjoys activities meals and friendships she has made The Nurses are always so caring they keep me informed and give me sense of ease with covid not seeing her for months was hard but she was good they kept them safe and entertained they would let us FaceTime when we wanted so the change with Covid was not as critical to mom because of this team we looked at 4 other places but this was the most family like friendly and clean
Thank you

As a Long Term Family member I have seen a lot over the years I have to say Reflections (Dementa] needs a serious Re Do !!! Activities they need more! More Engaging! Sensory let’s cook [name removed] they have a kitchen why not use it? Take them out onto van go to McDonald’s or a ride Treat them as People Activities is the worst except for [name removed]Train your staff more this unit has behaviors I see it these girls work hard The one thing I want to say is the Evening nurse at 3 [name removed] She is above professional she has a huge heart She loves my mom and all the residents She also leads a good team there is mutual respect and love between [name removed] and her evening staff Families adore her Now the long term Day nurse has changed over 6 mo lack of empathy lack of care it’s evident she belittles staff in front of family and staff She is a good person just needs a break The other day nurse in reflections speaks as she is uneducated calls my mom sister and to be honest scares me that she is a nurse that is [name removed] is the Best others to recognize. This is more than a Assisted Living it’s a family The Residents look out for each other The staff love and care for the residents as if they were their grandparent Families are welcomed treated with respect It is such peace of mind knowing my parent is safe and cared for Facility is well kept Only complaint I have heard is with the charge nurse in the evening many including mine residents say she is rude never available and takes long breaks I have had one encounter with her but I tend to avoid her other staff nurses aides waiters are very friendly always smiling

I've been living at Brandywine for years now. The staff is excellent and charming. They are always available to give a helping hand and listen. There are always activities that you may be interested in and if not, you have the comfort of your beautiful apartment. I am very thankful for the great care at Brandywine and would recommend this community to others.

We are very happy with care at Brandywine governors crossing the staff works very hard and are extremely caring in a stressed environment on the specialty unit for dementia Day shift seems well staffed 2 nurses and many care staff but when we visit in evening there is one nurse and less care givers which is odd to me Our Alzheimer’s group we attend monthly outside told us the evenings are more due to behaviors due to sun going down We love the evening nurse the Spanish young girl and the Spanish day nurse too E

Mom was very sad after dads passing. She was never quite right after that. Several years later she was diagnosed with dementia. Of course she didn't want to leave her home, but, we all knew it was time. She declined very rapidly. I was so happy I found a place that actually felt like home. The Reflections unit was perfect. She was confused and extremely sad... But Governor's brought her smile back and gave her a wonderful final year. She was treated with dignity and respect. There are simply no words to describe how grateful I am for Brandywine and the loving, caring staff at Governor's Crossing. [Name removed] has a heart of gold and went above and beyond for my mom and every one of those residents. She kept them happy and always involved. [Name removed] is a great nurse who always knows what's medically happening with all of her patients. Everyone is always smiling. Great employees, great place!

I’m a visitor this weekend we came to the facility on two separate times each time we found absolutely no activities going on in memory impaired unit it’s as they are locked in a cage and the more severely demented the less you. Get attended to Think we made bad choice
