Our family's experience
The staff, ranging from nurses, house keeping, laundry, front desk, dining room, personal care, administration is amazing. When an event has surfaced for my mom that required assistance the staff has been very attentive. The administration has been available to help address my concerns after hours and followed up until resolved. They have great staff! Mom loves her spacious 1 bedroom apartment. It allows her to have many of her special personal items that mean so much to her.

It was a very nice and cordial experience. For me, it was very spread out and many buildings.
With my macular degeneration. I like things a little more closer together.
Overall, it was not the best fit for me.

Thank you for letting us come and visit. my aunt enjoyed it. She was very overwhelmed by everything but your facility is beautiful and it seems like it has a lot to offer. The lady that gave the tour was wonderful. We were running about 15 minutes late 20 minutes and she handled that very well. Consideration for my aunt. Thank you for taking the time and letting us see what you have to offer.

Our family's experience

overall a 3 from each of them would be the highest. That is why my sister decided to move. All staff were friendly and tried to be helpful in spite of not enough staff.

A safe, friendly and inviting facility.
I would give it a five most definitely , starting with the executive director down to the aides, they're all amazing. They care so much for the residents. Also, whenever I have a question they immediately responded to me. They have so many activities, its kind of mind blowing how much they offer. My mom seems to be very happy and content there. The facility is always clean, they decorate for the holidays.

The place is really nice just a little overpriced for the size and what they offer. Other places offer new appliances and upgraded looking apartments for alot cheaper than what they are charging. But they are very sweet and nice and if the apartments were bigger I would love to move there but they are just too small for the price and there are some out there cheaper and bigger.

Great place for active seniors to enjoy the lush lawns and walking trails.
The staff is really friendly and they encourage group activities.
The apartment is perfect and amenities are average. I think they should offer more off campus options.

Overall a nice community
The staff is outstanding, always friendly and welcoming, and willing to offer help when needed. There are many activities games movie night they have lots of outings however, my mom doesn't really participate except for shopping outings. About the dining and lunchtime that I've been there have been very good. Occasionally they get shorthanded with staff and you might have to wait a bit for your order. Once a week the chef has open review for all residents to provide feedback, concerns and suggestions.

A great place for mom.
Their staff is amazing. They are always willing to help and speak to residents when they see them in the hallways. The serving staff in the dining room is amazing and knows the residents names, likes and dislikes, nutrition needs etc. They are impressive! The building is very clean and has a warm and welcome feel inside. The one bedroom apartments are spacious and very nice. The food looks delicious and the meal I had there was fantastic. My mom always talks about how good the food is. Their activities are limited and their activity space is limited based on comparison to what I saw at other locations. I think their pricing is a little high for the market in Spokane and for the amenities they offer, however their staff and the care they provide to the residents holds a lot of weight and brings this score up.

Review for Brookdale Park Place
I've been working with [name removed] at Brookdale Park Place Spokane for well over a year. She checks in on the status of our aunt who is 94 years old and lives in her own historic home there in Spokane but has 24 hour care through another agency that is exorbitantly expensive. We have tried and tried to convince our aunt that she would truly enjoy assisted living where she could have more opportunities, socially, and be well cared for at a much reduced cost from what she's paying now.
All of the staff that we have met on our frequent visits there have been extremely friendly and helpful, the menu options look outstanding!

Very pleased overall
It is very expensive to have someone there do my mother in laws laundry so I have taken that duty. My mother in law loves being there. Staff and residents are all very friendly. She likes the food and activities, participating in Meeting with the Chef, Writing group and Knitting group. We are very pleased with having her there.

I have learned that one can negotiate with extra perks such as 3 meals instead of 2 or having a permanent discount on the monthly payment. Are you a veteran always helps. Waiting for special offers at times of the year
Some places have license where you can stay in your place for home health care
Also if a family member needs to stay overnight some may not allow. And some may or may not allow pets.

Review for Brookdale Park Place
It was unsafe for my mother after she started falling. They didn't have enough staff to ensure that she wouldn't spend an hour or more on the floor before being found. Their response to the emergency call buttons were too slow because of staffing levels too. Good place if you are fairly independent and need only minimal help with activities of daily living. It isn't the best place if you really need assistance, particularly if you are blind or need regular health checks.

They can improve on the following: Communication between the staff. Staff turnover is extremely high. Coordination of the medical staff with the patients' medical team for the right type of care. Don't send a loved one there.

A Good Home for my Brother
I have been helping my brother out for the past five years as Parkinsons disease has progressed. Four months ago we knew he needed a bit more help than I could give him, and on visiting Brookdale Park Place he decided this was the place he wanted to live. He has lived there for three months and is receiving the care he needs. The staff is friendly and helpful both to him and to me. The other residents appear to be happy, there are smiling faces everywhere. The grounds are pleasant, lots of places for residents to sit outside and visit, or go for walks. Meals are great, and there are different activities for residents to participate in if they want to. Overall, this appears to be a good place for a loved one to live.
