About the facility Brookhaven Manor
This inviting community is a great space for the active senior to come home to. Its spacious living room features a grand piano and a picturesque main staircase. Brookhaven’s hip and cozy bistro is a great place to enjoy a sandwich and a hot cup of coffee while catching up with friends. With its central Ann Arbor, Michigan, location, Brookhaven is within easy access to Briarwood Mall, Zingerman’s famous deli, and multiple art galleries and museums.
Even the homebodied resident will never be without activity at Brookhaven. The manor includes a fitness center, library, beauty salon, and business center, as well as weekly movies and other activities. When Midwest spring pushes its way through those famous Michigan winters, residents of Brookhaven can relax on a spacious community patio for an iced tea with the neighbors, and their little dogs too, as pets are welcome!
Residents of Brookhaven are generally 55+, and are offered multiple floor plans to choose from, with handicap accessible options for those with specific mobility needs. Housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance services are one of the many amenities of Brookhaven — because who wants to spend their golden years folding towels?

My Comfortable Home
Brookhaven is my home and I feel very comfortable here. I love the many activities and events which are available to us. The food is very good and the staff is very warm and friendly. I also appreciate the location of Brookhaven which is within walking distance to many places, including Briarwood Mall.
The residents here are very friendly and youthful, despite their ages. It is a very warm and caring community!

Excellent option instead of true Assisted Living setting
After a late onset mild dementia diagnosis this summer, my mom had a fall and required extensive rehab for injuries. After sub-acute rehab stay we needed a setting with 24/7 skilled nursing to continue in-"home" care (PT, OT). Having lived independently in her condo for years, we couldn't see her thriving in a true Assisted Living place. Then we found out Brookhaven partners with an ON SITE skilled nursing team (Excellence Care Services) who has been great. My mom is able to enjoy as close to independent living as she can while still getting nurse aid support for AM and PM visits, night check-ins, and escorts to meals (among other things). And Brookhaven is one of the nicest facilities we toured in Ann Arbor (and way more affordable than the AL or high-end IL options). The Brookhaven staff is incredibly kind and their communication with each other and me has been beyond my expectations. It was an absolute home run of a find. Can't recommend Brookhaven enough!!!

Living here for 8 years and love it!
A very friendly atmosphere!
Many daily events, no time to get bored! Programs abound both in-house as well as trips by our van outside our building.
Residents are very friendly and usually like to communicate with other residents.
The staff is very attentive and tries to help all residents. Food is healthy and provides several choices! The administration is open to listening to our concerns as well as our cheers.

Best place for Independence in Ann Arbor
Brookhaven Manor is now my home
I will be honest…leaving my home was difficult but now I have found a new life with many new friends.
From the breakfast bunch to our dinner crew, the Brookhaven staff does it right.
We have entertainment, exercise classes, art classes, outside field trips to many places that I only would have dreamed to visit.

Would recommend.
We chose Brookhaven Manor because It was closest to my own home, a great value for a really great facility, and we liked the staff (although I understand 2-3 were fired immediately after she moved in).
There was no "orientation" on move in which would have been helpful. Mom still not sure my mom knows how to use the laundry, where trash goes, or if she's ever ventured to other floors (where the library and exercise and movie things are located)

There is such an amazing sense of community at Brookhaven Manor. All of the staff in each department is very welcoming and friendly. I enjoy the meals with my friends, my favorite dish is anything with shrimp. The location is one of the best in Ann Arbor as it is so close to downtown and shopping centers.

Super Friendly!

Cozy!
My favorite part of Brookhaven is how cozy and home-like the community is. Our "common areas" are a great place to participate in events that make you feel like you truly with your family. The food is always pretty tasty, my favorite dish is Chicken Cordon Blue!

Wonderful Place
I have lived here for almost 5 years and I love it! The staff is very friendly, the food is terrific and all of the residents are very kind and welcoming. The staff at Brookhaven did a fantastic job dealing with covid and keeping us safe and healthy.
