Everyone needs a Chestnut Knoll

My brother and I would like to take the time to thank you for all that you did for our mom. We knew that when she was with you she was safe, protected, and treated with dignity. For the last three years, she was cared for and listened to no matter how trivial it may have seemed. When I share with my friends how so many of the staff came to see mom on her last two days to say good bye, they are amazed. It was amazing to know she just wasn’t another person with dementia but [name removed]. Thank you for how you delt with [name removed] and I. It couldn’t have been easy, and you never made us feel as our questions were unimportant. When all said and done, every family needs a Chestnut Knoll in their lives. If there is ever anything we could do, please don’t hesitate to call, text, or email. Sincerely and with great appreciation

Wonderful home, just like family

My father loved living here, it became home to him within a few days. The staff in the dining room were attentive and treated him like a member of their family. The caregivers were prompt and respectful when entering his room. He always said “If you ask anyone for help they will help you “ I noticed times when residents didn’t have to ask, the staff were already helping. The facility is small so the staff knows the residents. Everyone was friendly from the front desk to the hardworking staff in the laundry and housekeeping, caregivers, supervisors and the director of maintenance who always seemed to be able to answer questions and help my dad figure out the tv remotes. My father was only able to stay for the last few months of his life, the staff made him feel like an old timer. They embraced me during his last days and I will be forever grateful especially to the supervisors who were there for us. The quality that will always mean the most is the feeling of family.

Chestnut Knoll Living

My wife had an 11 month stay at Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown. Her physical and mental condition required a lot of support and understanding at the beginning and the staff at Chestnut Knoll was up to the task. Many times going out of their way to assist her. Through their continued care and the assistance of FOX Therapy she made a series of improvements that allowed her to return home recently. Although she still receives care at home she has come a long way in tending to daily activities. The environment at Chestnut Knoll is warm and friendly management does a good job keeping the residents active and informed with various daily activities. The food is especially good with varying menus and food assistance from the aids. I would recommend Chestnut Knoll if you are looking for short term or long personal care a visit to the facility would be beneficial. Tom D

With sincere appreciation...

My father spent just over one year in the memory care unit at Chestnut Knoll before his passing in March 2026. The care he received was no less than exceptional. There was a period of time for him to get adjusted, but the staff worked patiently with my father to make him comfortable in his new surroundings. With furnishings from my father's previous home, his room was a safe and spacious accommodation. Chestnut Knoll has activities going on all day long for the residents to be entertained, and throughout the year, they have special events where the residents and their families can participate, as well as the general community. The staff is caring, compassionate, and kind -- I can't thank them enough for the care they provided to my father. If you have a loved one needing either assisted living or memory care, Chestnut Knoll is the perfect place.

Family

My mother was a resident at Chestnut Knoll for three years. She was in the assisted living area first however was on the memory care area until her passing in October 2025. The staff at Chestnut Knoll quickly became our family as they cared for my mother. Some days were challenging since my mother could be tough. They always complimented her which they learned was a way to soften her. I would highly recommend this facility to all families as we felt at home from the first moment. Thank you to [Names Removed](front desk), [Names Removed] The entire staff!!

Top Class Memory Care

My wife was a resident at Chestnut Knoll for the last 6 months in[Date Removed]and 2 months in early[Date Removed]. The care provided to her was excellent and the staff was always friendly and efficient. I had some meals with her and the food is very good. The only reason she is no longer at Chestnut Knoll is her need for Medical Assistance with the costs. The cost at Chestnut Knoll is reasonable for Memory Care and the type of care she received is well worth the cost. The Administrative staff as well as the care staff are always ready to help, and they pay attention to the resident's needs.

A Truly Special Home for My Mother

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Chestnut Knoll. What truly sets this community apart is its incredible design—the Memory Care Neighborhood is built to look like a charming small town. It doesn't feel like a facility; it feels like a safe, familiar neighborhood where my mother can explore. The staff here are exceptional and have truly become like family. They treat my mother with such love and dignity. I’m so impressed by how engaged the residents are; there is a new activity every half hour, which keeps everyone active and happy. My mother particularly loves the bean bag toss! It is a huge relief to know she is in a place that is clean, homey, and filled with people who genuinely care. If you want a place where your loved one will thrive, I highly recommend Chestnut Knoll.

My Grandmother is thriving

When the reality that my grandmother was no longer able to take care for herself hit our family, it felt like our options were very limited. She was too 'well' to really thrive in a nursing home and we thought there weren't really any other viable choices. I'm so thankful that I called for a tour of Chestnut knoll, really, on a whim. We realized it was possible for her to afford and its the perfect step down from independent living. I no longer worry when she doesnt answer her phone. Now our time together is more like it used to be, just visiting and enjoying each other instead of running her errands, dispensing her meds, etc. We've become friendly with her room mate, other residents and all the staff and its really such a comfortable place to be at!

they have it all!!

When my Aunt and Uncle both needed help with dementia and assisted living at the same time, no one would help. Doctors, hospitals etc. I was at my wits end. Then I punched in A place for Mom and within 10 minutes got a call from chestnut knoll and they handled everything for me from paperwork, transportation and getting them settled. I give the place a 10 for administration, nurses, aides for making the move easy and taking a lot of responsibility off my shoulders. This place is a 10 all around and I've been thru a lot of places that were bad. The place is clean with plenty of activities, staff are excellent with care. You need help you just ask .Both of my relatives love it there and they say how nice everybody treats them. They never ask to go back home which should tell you alot. Again I give the place, staff a big 10 excellent !! .

Back on my feet again

When I had to get surgery, I knew I wasn't going to be able to go home alone right away. The Chestnut Knoll team worked fast to get me in there for a respite stay. Thanks to the FOX team and the staff at Chestnut Knoll, i was back on my feet within the month. I don't know what would've happened to me if I tried going home by myself. I still come back for their exercise classes. Their food is very good and the staff are so nice.

Tips for evaluating your community options.

Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Assisted Living. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:

  • Know Pennsylvania’s regulations for memory care. Each state has its own laws and inspection processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the communities you’re considering. Learn more about Pennsylvania’s regulations for memory care and download the Guide to Senior Living Licensure and Inspection Reports.

  • Tour the location. Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and it helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.

  • Confirm the availability of required services. Before committing, make sure that the community offers all the services your loved one needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.
