The staff are kind, competent, and supportive. I know my husband, who is a fall risk, is monitored frequently. His condition has improved since entering Overlook in [date removed]. At that time, he required a high level of assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. He could not rise from bed or a chair without help and was no longer ambulatory. With physical therapy, Aricept, and aid from staff, he regained the ability to walk using a Rollator and resumed some activities of daily living (e.g., dressing, using the bathroom). I have a story that exemplifies staff concern and dedication. I drove my husband home to Overlook following an ER visit. It was after midnight, and the nurse who attended to him until the ambulance arrived was there to greet us. His shift had ended hours before but he stayed to help my husband settle in for the night.
