The environment is very warm and welcoming. The facility is immaculate, the food be smelling delicious, the staff is always friendly and helpful. Pinewood Square has been the beautiful help that my mother and father needed. When my mother passed, all staff members helped my father get through the worst time of his 92 years. He has help when he needs or wants it, his medications are monitored, he has community (when he is in the mood), and a Southern garden courtyard that allows him to "be" with Mom when he wants to talk to her and feel her presence. I no longer have the worry of being in another state, and the staff contact me with any questions or concerns. An important feature of Pinewood Square is that every room, apartment, and hallway has a view of the "outside world" for the residents and staff. There is no isolated feeling, anywhere (other than the medications lock-up,) due to the floorplan and construction, and this has a major impact for the well-being of everyone. Like many children, I wish BOTH of my parents had been willing to choose assisted living earlier.

My siblings and I visited Pinewood Square recently and it was a great experience. The staff was very welcoming and inviting for a "drop in" tour. The place smelled great and was clean. The people living there looked well cared for and appeared to be happy and comfortable. There was lots of laughter and smiles going on. You could tell right away the staff was good to the patients and treated them like family. We felt very comfortable while there.

So far it's really great - except my Aunt says the food is not good. And she says her new friends complain too. The people are amazing and kind. Especially the director. The aids seem to want everyone to rush thru meals so they can clean up and be done. It makes the client's nervous. The rooms are a good size for what this community needs. They have a small safe kitchen with small fridge and microwave, Large closet and decent size bathroom. Love the little courtyard. Its safe and enclosed and they can use independently. The activity director is a dear hart who seems to be in exactly the job God wants her in.

Great friendly staff well informed as to my brothers needs and care. The facility was clean and well maintained as were the grounds including the interior courtyard. The hallways are well lit and spacious allowing room for 2 wheel chairs to pass easily and room doors well lit and clearly marked and inset at least a foot into the wall for a proper entrance to the apartment ?? The main living area is well appointed as is the dining room. The kitchen is truly well designed and would work well in any commercial restaurant kitchen . The courtyard porch nicely appointed for residences to sit outside in most weather.

Mommy has been at Pinewood Square for 6 months. Although it was a huge adjustment for the both of us, she has settled in and I believe this was the right decision for her safety. She has her independence, individual apartment and is kept entertained by all the daily activities. She especially enjoys the outings. I cannot thank the staff enough for the little things like changing her calendar, making sure she looks nice when pick her up and treating her with the upmost respect and human decency. It’s been a great decision for our family!

I recently toured Pinewood Square with my Mother and thought this was a vey nice community. The facility was clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I liked that it was a smaller community giving it a more personal feel. We interacted with several residents while on the tour and everyone seemed friendly and happy.

The staff was extremely friendly. They took great care of my mom. Hope is a wonderful and caring woman who helped get my mom settled into the facility. The biggest complaint was the food. My mom called me after every meal to complain about the food. The kitchen had many dietary restrictions with the various residents. I can't really blame them.

1. Have all over the counter pain relievers, eye drops, vitamins, etc, purchased (unopened) and ready to go into their med storage. 2. Start any long-term care insurance claims as soon as possible, because of the required waiting. 3. The courtyard has a therapeutic effect, when your parents may not want to be with other people.

We really like it for my stepdad. They are really patient with him and kind. The food looks good. The place is clean and decorated for the seasons. The activities director is creative and fun and encouraging everyone to participate. She is adorable. They have an outside garden area in the middle of the property so they can come and go at will. Rooms have a great little kitchenette. Big closet....individually controlled ac/heat

Highlights: - The admin staff are amazing and were extremely helpful with transitioning her there and helping us on pricing. - They go on frequent outings and always have events going on there. - Daily staff/nurses are great too, have a lot of patience and not a mean bone in their body - Not that many residents so all the elderly are actually getting the attention they need and basically any staff can speak to how any resident is generally doing at any given time Nothing negative really other than my grandmother said the meals have gotten somewhat old quick. She said they're not bad just not stellar

Staff treated our friend with compassion and caring. She was checked on frequently and was encouraged to join activities. One evening she was down due to losing her independence. A staff member noticed she was feeling down gave her hugs and stayed with her for an hour listening to her talk about it. I highly recommend Pinewood Square for anyone’s family member.
