Many seniors may need help for a short period after a procedure or an illness, and some may need more consistent long-term help. Either way, Seniors Helping Seniors works with their clients to make sure they are getting the type and amount of care they need. This mutually beneficial program is available in the counties in and surrounding Dallas, Texas.
The North Tarrant, West Denton, and Wise counties branch is part of the Seniors Helping Seniors company, which was founded in 1998 with the intention of making senior care more accessible and relational. Their structure is simple: More active seniors become caregivers to less active seniors. As seniors age, they often need more social interaction from their peers than they can get. By having a caregiver who is in a similar stage of life, seniors can both get the care they need and a wholesome relationship.
The caregivers are professionals who are capable of accommodating a wide range of needs, from simply being a conversation partner, to helping make meals and tidy up, to helping with mobility and grooming. Some caregivers are also able to help seniors who have Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s and other kinds of dementia.
