The facility is a nice place, older but going through updates. It is in a secluded part of Smithfield which is very nice. I didn’t really see any activities but it was later in the afternoon. The units that were shown were neat and clean.

Four for all categories. My aunt really liked the visit. She said if she could afford it, she would move into the facility. It is friendly and clean and we would recommend Smithfield Woods community to others.

The tour of Smithfield Woods was wonderful [name removed] was attentive to our questions and concerns regarding my Aunts care and social opportunities available to her. By the way, after three other assisted living facility tours, we chose Smithfield Woods.

They said it would be an appropriate environment but she ended up needing a higher level of care. Rooms were large. Staff seemed nice.

#1, overall, 2. There are several issues that have not been addressed, which is frustrating. #2, though the overall facility seems fairly clean, getting someone to clean my sister's studio apartment is like pulling teeth. Every week since my sister arrived, her apt has been ignored. I don't know what residents who don't have family it advocate for them do. I give cleanliness a 2. #3. Friendliness. Everyone is very friendly. 5 #4, quality of care. From the day my sister moved in, on the 3rd floor, one washer has been ½ filled with stagnant. We've been told the washer had been repaired, but it's the same water in the washer and it smells awful. The second washer does not ring out the clothes well, leaving them heavy with water. The clothes take hours to dry. The staff, though friendly, has not been honest regarding the laundry facility. Also, they say they will do her laundry once a week. It was done once in 2 months. I'm not seeing any quality. 1. It does seem that SW offers plenty of activities, though outings and appointments are not always met. They need a good van and a back up van to make sure residents get to their appointments. 2 For the money, we are very disappointed. 1-2

Close to family members, to increase visiting. Their food is excellent and everything is very clean. It is a very nice facility and the residents all seem to be happy there. I would recommend this place.

Smithfield Woods is an excellent place! The first time we visited Smithfield Woods, we knew we'd found the right place for my Aunt. The staff were caring, professional and answered all of our questions. They didn't put any high pressure "sales tactics" on us at all, and we're extremely transparent about costs and what we could expect from them. We walked in not knowing what to expect, and left feeling relieved and positive about the experience. I would recommend Smithfield Woods to anyone looking for a place for their loved one as well!

The community is nice overall, seems to have a good staff to patient ratio and some activities. The resident would need to be very independent and mobile to go there because there is very little staffing overnight and the ground floor has no nurse station. Upstairs there is only one small common room with not enough seating for everyone but downstairs there is a large dining room with plenty of room for meals and activities

We had a great tour, Smithfield Woods is exactly the type of environment we are looking for! The facility was clean, secure (Memory Care) and the residents we spoke to were all happy to be there, and are well taken care of. The staff we met with, and well as the staff we encountered on the tour were all extremely positive and seemed to enjoy working at Smithfield! The resident rooms were spacious and we'll maintained, and the common areas & movie theater are a huge bonus. Overall, it's a great facility!

I would like to say when I started my journey at Smithfield Woods I want happy because I wanted to stay home, however as time went by I got a lot better for me. The staff is very nice, the meals are food and my overall experience has been good.
