I rate a 5...the care packages can be a little confusing. Also, with the care being separate from StoryPoint
They are very helpful and go out of their way to get people settled in.
Living and bedroom good size. No cabinets in the bathroom. Kitchen is very small. Sinks in the bath and kitchen are hard to use for wheelchair

My Senior Home

Our experience has been good. We have been there for 2 yrs and it was a surprise for me that our rent was increased both years. We like our apartment but had to get used to getting settled in from a house to apartment.

The minute I walked in here my husband and I knew we were "home"! Everyone was so friendly - everyone! They do so much for us, always... They have so many fun things to do, you never get bored. The food is wonderful, and your choices are wonderful too! It's just wonderful here!

We moved into Story Point 2 1/2 years ago. The staff has always been very helpful. My husband was provided therapy, in house, for his broken collarbone and Dementia. There are many activities provided to help residents meet other residents, like the "Coffee & Donuts" on Wednesdays. Daily activities are provided!

Good place.
My mom has lived at Storypoint for about 1 1/2 years. Facility is very nice. Lots of activities for the residents, but my mom doesn't participate a lot. Several of my issues include that breakfast and lunch aren't served to the residents as part of their package. Additionally, there is extra cost (and it is pretty high) for additional care such as meds and showers. Those should be included for the cost of living there. Overall a good place, good staff, good food, etc.

It has been a great place for my mom in the 15months she's lived there. It's a perfect size apartment, with a great , friendly, caring staff, good assortment of activities and trips offered . I am there almost daily so I have seen first hand what an awesome place it is.

my family's experience
We rated that the overall experience because of the insane cost. Rooms are not swept on a regular basis nor are showers and counters cleaned. Guessing it is a staffing issue. Staff is awesome. The care services overall she has been then care of. However, there have been days where she has not received her meds. For Story Point, since move in, there hasn't been any contact with Admin. I would give them a 1. 10 For [name removed]. [name removed] and [name removed]have been amazing. They both communicate and care about the resident and her family. The food looks amazing. There are a lot of options. And if the resident gets antsy and leaves before they finish their meal, the staff makes sure that they have something to eat in their room like grilled cheese, chicken tenders or a burger.
So I would say 10. They seem to have a lot of activities. But I am not sure if much effort is put in to encourage the residents to participate. Rent was just increased by over $[fee removed] per month. for a one bedroom, the price is $[fee removed] per month. Plus a $[fee removed] for [name removed] to make sure that she is getting her meds, going to meals and activities, and getting showers. The employees for [name removed] are phenomenal. It would be so nice if they were paid more. Especially considering how much [name removed] charges.
