Not enough staff in the memory care area, not enough activities in the memory care area, not clean enough in the main memory care area, room size was fine, fire exits not good for exit seeking dementia patient.

I would recommend they try it. We have seen that the people there are kind and attentive. The facility is nice. The only downside is the price but that is not to say that they are charging too much. It is just an expensive service

I’ve had a wonderful impression of Cherry Creek Senior Living. One of the things that stands out immediately is the tenure of the staff—you can tell many team members have been there for years, which speaks volumes about the culture and consistency of care. That kind of stability creates a real sense of trust for both residents and families. The residents themselves genuinely seem happy and engaged. There’s a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels authentic, not forced. People know each other, staff interact with residents in a meaningful way, and it feels like a true community rather than just a place to live. There are always activities, events, and opportunities for residents to stay involved, social, and energized. It’s clear that a lot of thought goes into creating a vibrant environment where people can thrive. Overall, Cherry Creek Senior Living feels like a place where people are cared for, connected, and are able to enjoy life.

I recently visited the memory care at Sunrise Cherry Creek. I just want to say from my observation the residents were engaged, well kept and they seemed happy! The care staff were welcoming, polite and knowledgeable. I really liked the windows that overlooked the park and there was a lot of light. The patio was inviting and it allowed the residents to feel safe while being outside and still able to enjoy the outdoors. I felt welcomed and happy to be there. If you move your loved one here, you won't be disappointed!!

If your loved one has a tendency to escape, then sunrise is not the place for them. I wish I had known that before we tried sunrise because my mom got out and they lost her. We needed a one floor memory care only facility with no fire exit doors. If I had known that in advance we wouldn't have had to move her in and then back out of Sunrise and onto another place.

The Management team from the Admissions Director, Executive Director and Head of Nursing went beyond the normal approach (for facilities like these) to assure my family member could be approved to move into Sunrise after being required to be discharged from an Accute Rehab facility. We n had less than a week to get everything in order and they moved mountains for us and even got a private room, which everywhere else I looked into required a new semi-private as a part of initial move in. They also assisted in establishing in facility hospice that was needed. The atmosphere was bright, cheery, upbeat and this was not only in management and staff, but residents as well. Could not have found a better facility (within the tight time line) with the truly caring and more than accommodating team. 5 stars!

Most things have been great, my only gripe is that the office staff has been slow responding back to my emails why my dad was moved to a different room and what the prices are, and it's been difficult getting to speak to my dad on the phone, because he has trouble with his cell phone and there are no phones in the room.

Sunrise Cherry Creek was the third Memory Care option that I visited in my search for my mother and it is the one I selected due to the feeling of warmth and care that I get when I visit. There is so much interaction and attention - you can tell that the folks here really care. I think my mother will thrive here.

The only thing I would warn any family moving into a memory care situation, which we were not quite prepared for, is that many of the residents are suffering from more that memory loss. We found a fair amount of mental disorders in the residents on the memory floor, that at first were quite shocking and disturbing to my mom and us. The staff has done a good job of mitigating this by teaming my mom up with appropriate residents, and she has learned how to navigate the population better herself. All that said, I don't know if this is a common problem, we didn't notice this on our tours to the extent we should have, but something to consider or at least be aware of.

I had an amazing experience meeting with the Sales Specialist who was able to move our scheduled tour up by a week due to a need for immediate occupancy, post hospital stay for my relative. Unfortunately, she was not in good enough physical condition to be accepted for assisted living, and had to be discharged to a skilled nursing facility first. Our hope is that she is able to regain strength in 30 or so days and then be able to move into Sunrise at Cherry Creek.

Five-Star Review for Sunrise Senior Living Sunrise Senior Living has truly exceeded our expectations. My dad can be hard to please, but the staff here has done an incredible job making him feel comfortable, cared for, and most importantly—happy. The entire team is warm, attentive, and professional. I had the pleasure of meeting a staff member today who has been with Sunrise for 12 years, and her kindness toward my dad was so genuine—it really says a lot about the culture and consistency of care at this community. It’s rare to find a place where both the residents and their families feel this level of peace and satisfaction. I’m genuinely impressed and so grateful for the care they provide.

I haven't tried the activities so can't say, but my dad hasn't complained. What I liked most is the cleanliness, the room price (my dad is sharing a double room, not many other places had double rooms), and the overall friendliness of the staff.

After many years of trying to encourage my mother to move into assisted living she finally made the move last year. She wishes she had done this years ago!!
