A good place for mom
Our experience here has been positive so far. It's a newer facility, so things are modern and pretty new. Housekeeping and laundry services seem to be good. Maintenance is quick to complete repairs as needed. The staff is friendly. They're great about decorating for and celebrating holiday

A good place for mom
Our experience here has been positive so far. It's a newer facility, so things are modern and pretty new. Housekeeping and laundry services seem to be good. Maintenance is quick to complete repairs as needed. The staff is friendly. They're great about decorating for and celebrating holidays. Communication with the family is pretty good. They've reached out to me by email and have been quick to respond when I've text them about things. Mom's previous facility closed and we had to move her to a new place, we were worried about her transition. But it's been pretty good and mom is comfortable here. All of the residents seem happy and content. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

Average facility
The owner is desperate for people so she takes everyone in need even if it’s beyond what they can care for. The staff is very nice but the residents don’t receive the quality of life that is promised. They barely have activities and no trips outside of the facility. The owner is very loud and doesn’t have residents best interest in mind.

I had no idea care could be so good.
I didn't get the feel of what they actually offered from the website. It wasn't until I had a chance to speak with the owners, meet the staff, and experience all amenities offered that I felt overwhelmed with comfort and serenity. I appreciate the care and attention Symphony of Wimberley gives to not only their residents but the community as well. Thank you Symphony for all you do and for creating a place where all these amazing hearts call home.

Need more training
The staff were really good to her, but they need a lot of work. They need more educated staff and a plan of care in place. I was not a fan of the owner. The caregivers were so nice and great with her. They did let us leave her things here after she passed and they were able to get people to pick it up and donate it and we did really appreciate that.

A Place to Call Home
We've been very pleased. This is the best care our loved one has gotten. They treat everybody like family. Our biggest issues really are with the limitations set by the state, that you can't come in to visit even though you've gotten your vaccine. But that has nothing to do with them - that's the state, and they're just following regulations. The food is fabulous. She loves it and has gained a little bit of weight. They're charging what everyone else is charging. I would recommend them to anybody who wants to put their family member here.

Tips for evaluating your community options

Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Assisted Living. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:

  • Tour the location: Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.

  • Confirm the availability of required services: Before you commit, make sure that the community offers all the services your senior needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.

  • Know the Texas regulations for Assisted Living: Each state has its own laws and inspections processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the community(ies) you’re considering. Learn more about Texas regulations for Assisted Living.

A Place for Mom has scored Symphony of Wimberley 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
