The aspect that I like least is the amount we had to pay every month. The elderly worked hard for their money all their lives, and to have to give it all to a facility for care is so ridiculous. But then again, any facility you go to charges a ridiculous amount for care. I don't know what the solution would be. The Gabkes in Shelley is a 16-bed facility only for memory care residents. The other facilities that I looked at are for both memory care and assisted living and the memory care unit is locked down while the assisted units are not.
