Because we live in Canada, we were seldom able to visit, but whenever we called, the staff were very helpful and responsive. They also made sure to contact us when they had any concerns about my dad. My dad lived in the independent apartments, and the staff were always supportive and helpful. He was not always the easiest tenant, so we especially appreciated their patience and understanding. Woodlands was exactly what we needed and, importantly, what my dad could afford. It gave him opportunities to be involved and socialize when he wanted to, while also allowing him to have his privacy and be on his own when that was his preference. Overall, we were very grateful to have a place that gave my dad both independence and support.

They're having a lot of internal problems right now. Problems with the plumbing. [Name Removed] Got an awful lot of ants this year. Get a tour of three on the scale of good to bad. Their dietary the food isn't that good. And they're always short staffed in the dietary server department. If I was not putting my mother in a place like this I would say no.

There are lots of opportunities for people in the independent living apartments to participate and meet people. My dad was unable to fully participate due to his deafness and age (95), but folks were friendly. Waved and smiled at him. he felt a part of the community, even though he was not able to participate. He needed the oversight of the people in this community, even though he was needing/wanting to be independent. affordable. clean. friendly. I think a good place.

Overall rating is 4, because I asked if We could Administer my Father's 4 Medications ourselves in stead of them. And they keep says we will ask the Dr. - yet it's been 5 Months at $[removed]per month for that Service, and to still No. Yet I have a Alarm pill box, An Amazon Alexa to remind him, Plus I can call . I even have a Camera and a Light to flash as a Reminder. They have slot of Outings, Publix and Walmart 2 times a week. And a couple other trips weekly. Entertainers come by 2 times a week.

I waited about 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there, even though I was visible. The lady ([name removed] , I believe) never even stood up to greet me. She ultimately gave me a pkg. of material. She said I had a tour booked for a different time and something about notes indicated I could not afford $[fee removed]. Both were incorrect. I had called earlier. The young man ([name removed]) showed up and gave me a tour. He was exceptionally pleasant and kind. I told him about being ignored. I actually liked your facility and the choice of 2BR units but was still unhappy about the earlier lack of customer service. This made me wonder about how I'd be treated if I lived there. That carried over into the tour by [name removed] , who did not give me his card. I was not crazy about the surrounding area. My main goal was to be close to my son who lives in zip code 34211 (Panther Ridge). I like your units but not ready yet to move. The purpose of my visit was true research to see your facility.

I would give them a 5 for everything They were exceptional. You get a great feeling when you first walk in the door. It's very light, bright homie feeling. It has a more homie, feeling to it then and rich uppity feeling to it. The residence were all very friendly. [name removed] had us eat with a couple of the ladies there. They were very friendly. Tried to get [name removed] involved in things right away even though she hadn't said that she was coming there yet. When we went back three days later, the two ladies remembered her and made sure that they talked to her. They asked her when she was moving in so she could do activities with them. The director was great. There was no questions left up in the air or things you had to try to figure out on your own. We were introduced to the maintenance person and told that he would hang TVs or anything else as soon as she moved in. It was just an all-around great experience. The food that they serve served at lunch was great. [name removed] was even having problems with her teeth. They made a special lunch for her.

The overall experience has been good. The staff have been helpful. I have not done any activities yet since I just arrived yesterday but hopefully will join soon. I've been happy with the meals. I am happy with my apartment just trying to see where everything will go. The community seems very welcoming.

She loved living here. The staff was amazing, very caring and friendly. The fact that the facility was all on one level was helpful in that my mother did not have to navigate elevators to get to meals. The apartment was nice, having an attached screened porch expanded the living area and was a nice spot to get fresh air. Housekeeping helped keep it clean. Any maintenance issues were quickly remedied. The common areas had seen better days and could use a little love. Just before my mother passed away, the facility had just been sold and the new owners were making improvements so I can not say how the changes turned out.

As soon as I walked in I felt at home.I’m looking forward to moving there and getting settled. I’m glad everything is on one floor. I was very satisfied with the one bedroom with a small screened in patio.

My mom has been at Woodlands Village for a year now. The complex was bought by Discovery (?) just as she moved in. So there has been some turnover of staff. However, everyone there has been very pleasant and supportive of my mom. I feel terrific knowing that if there is a problem she would be comfortable asking for help. The staff also know her personally and that is nice. You might know that the building is old and needs some cosmetic and other repair. Recently I’ve notice more work being done on the exterior. We painted my mom’s unit and had some maintenance issues when she moved in, like missing closet doors and other things. Everything was addressed fairly quickly. Additionally, they added outlets to both bathrooms for my mom. Finally, they have agreed to replace the doors that lead to the small lanai for my mom. The seals on her doors are broke and the windows are permanently fogged obstructing an outdoor view. She had been asking for new doors for months, and I know they are expensive. However, they have recently agreed to replace them. The size of the unit is nice especially for the price. My mom has a 2 bedroom unit which allows her to host her other kids when they come to visit. I’ve heard some complaints about the dining options. However, my mother is not a picky eater and she has not complained. Overall I am happy with the organization. I only wish that some of the outdoor maintenance issues could be addressed so that it appears more well maintained.

My dad is in an independent living apartment. We have added in a support worker 4 times a week as he seems pretty forgetful. initially, the folks at woodlands were pretty helpful. When I called, they were able to give me information on my dad. It is a big improvement from living alone in his mobile home with meals on wheels. and we feel much relieved that there are folks who are keeping an eye on him.

It needs updating, New floors and paint. They are all wonderful there. They do a good job taking care of everyone and really care about the residents. They have had some turnover...but most are very nice. My mom loves the chef/food and so do many others living there. They seem to have some activities, however, my mom is 99 and does not go to them - she can't see or hear too well. Price is ok. It just recently went up in price but not too much! It is a pretty good place because of the people working and living there and the food. They are all nice even though the place is not the Ritz Carlton...!! My mom is close (I visit her 3 times a week) and very happy and that is what really counts!

The people we met as well as the staff. Playing Shut The Box, good entertainment, privacy and quiet when you want it and Christmas lunch. The place however is a little run down and not safe. There are no cramers except the ones the residents put in their apt. Which might have stopped the theft by the ent. Dir. No rails in halls in independent and old rotted railings outside and rough landscaping both which have caused falls. Also we wondering why .your penalizing the residents by taking away an entry option offering nothing for special diets, now charging $[removed]for guest meals bit then raising the rent. Seems a little wac to me.

They are thieves and liars. My mother took a turn for the worst 3 days before move in - they promised her money. Strung us along for 2 months . Then wouldn’t return calls or email. My mother is blind. She was not able to afford losing all of that money. But they didn’t seem to care. Would definitely not recommend this place- no compassion or honesty
