The staff are very caring from administration to nursing to maintenance to housekeeping. There are plenty of activities available. The food is good, not always great, but there are alternative items always available upon request. The smell in the facility is one of the first things that I noticed. It is a nice homey smell, not institutional at all. Mom's 2 bedroom apartment was 660 sq ft and very comfortable. I would recommend this community to others without hesitation.

They get the highest scores from me. The staff is amazingly friendly and kind and professional. They will go out of their way to meet all your needs. They have made changes in my apartment to accommodate my physical limitations like lowering the closet shelf and rod so I can reach my clothes. I cannnot lift my arms above my shoulders. There are plenty of activities listed on¨ the daily schedule left on the shelf outside your room. The menu is diverse and the food is good. ( Especially desserts!) I feel like I live in a happy friendly neighborhood. I feel at home.

Staff was very nice and very helpful. They gave my mother a walker to use. The food is excellent! The building is also very nice. It is old, so they are frequently needing to repair or renovate, but they do keep it in good condition.

The is excellent, caring and eager to help. My apartment is spacious and bright. The facility is well maintained.

So far it has a good experience. At first we had a little problem with getting the right prescriptions, but we have solved that issue.

What a friendly place to visit. Everything is perfect and we hope to be able to move in soon. Staff as well as residents are happy to see and meet you with big smiles and it makes you feel loved.

[name removed] loves it there! She tells me everyday what she has to eat and some of the activities she goes to! She likes her apartment but she wants the closest doors by the washer and dryer and the bedroom ones put on. And if there is someone that could hookup her cable for her? I don't know how to do that! The stuff is very nice and helpful to her! Like I said she loves it. I would recommend Lake House to anyone looking! This was the best place out of two other places we looked at! This place is wonderful!

When I first wheeled my mother in on her wheelchair, she was welcomed by over a dozen staff. Members app plotting her, and then each one introducing themselves from the executive Director to maintenance.

After touring three places in Ft. Smith, we chose Morada Ft. Smith for our love one's forever home. It's a beautiful building and well maintained. The apartments appear brand new, although they're not... that indicates that they have a great maintenance staff. Our family and loved one would give Morada a 5 in every area, except for food. Our loved one says that the food tastes bland, but she is able to order a la carte to get the meals that she likes to eat. We would give the food a 3 rating. Unbelievable value for your money!

I really like it and got a great apartment here. The dining is good and everything is kept neat and clean. The building is in good condition and has beautiful landscaping. There are many amenities offered as well as pool, poker, happy hour, a movie twice a week, Bingo etc. Very nice and thoughtful management.

They do a great job providing wonderful activities for the residents. I especially love that they offer so many outings and so much MUSIC! There is always something to look forward to. One small suggestion I had was to keep the flyers and calendars in the elevators updated. I recently noticed that they have been updated, so that’s great to see! I would also encourage new residents and their families to review the billing carefully each month for any additional charges. During the tour, make sure you ask plenty of questions and get a clear understanding of what is included and what may cost extra. It’s also important to review the lease agreement carefully, especially the section outlining additional charges. The management has been helpful in clearing things up when questions arise, but I’m glad I paid close attention to the monthly bills. There were a couple of occasions when I caught charges that could have resulted in my dad being overcharged. Overall, I appreciate the activities, outings, music, and the effort the staff puts into keeping the residents engaged and active.

A very pleasant place with friendly staff and a light and cheery decor. The amenities are first class as are the activities for the persons in their care. The Memory Care section was spotless, light in decor, and the staff showed exceptional care for the persons in that unit. I would highly recommend Home Care to persons looking for a small-to-medium sized full care facility where the persons in their care treated with respect, professionalism, and caring.

We are very pleased with everything at Solstice, the food is great, the staff is friendly and mom loves the staff and her room. I would recommend the community to others.

The staff is very friendly & caring & they all learned my mother in law's name almost immediately. She seems to like the food & some of the activities. Her room is large enough for her & the whole facility is overall very clean. I would recommend the community to others.

Discovery is a very friendly community with nice people. My apartment is spacious and reasonable. I enjoy the meals and chats with the Director of Dining Services. I would recommend Discovery Village!

As soon as you walk in the front door, everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I enjoy all the wonderful programs and activities Discovery provides. I have made great friends because of our common interests, and I am very happy at Discovery Village Des Plaines!

I would rate them a five on every single item except number six, food. They have really struggled to keep an executive chef on staff and the quality of the food has faltered because of that. I would probably rate the food situation a 2. When they get that cleaned up, this is an absolutely spectacular community.

I love everything about College View. The staff is very courteous, kind, caring, and they're also somehow able to remember the names of all the residents, as well as the relatives who visit frequently. They all greet me by name when I'm there. The cleanliness is immaculate. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, attractively decorated, warm, and inviting. The apartment my mother is in is also kept clean by a once a week staff housekeeping visit. My mom’s very spacious one bedroom apartment had all new carpeting and flooring throughout when we moved her in. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom are modern, attractive, and spacious. She even has a nice little private patio area where she can go outside to sit and enjoy the view. There are numerous activities every single day for the residents to join in on. There are also trips either once or twice every week (I don't recall how many times per week it is) to places like Walmart, the dollar store, etc. All the residents are very kind and so friendly to each other. They have tried to help my mom feel welcome there and are always inviting her to sit with them in the facility's restaurant on the first floor. I have been truly amazed at how nice the people there are. As far as the restaurant, the residents are able to eat both lunch and dinner there for no extra cost. The food looks good, smells good, and tastes good!! I have eaten there twice with my mom and have loved everything I've ordered. It is truly a restaurant, and residents and guests are able to order off a menu. The menus change from week to week, but there is also a full page in the menu for items that are always available. The kitchen/restaurant staff goes out of their way to be sure everyone has exactly what they want and need. There has never been any kind of extra accommodation we've asked for that has been denied. Another positive about College View is that the staff members are completely responsive to any and everything asked or requested by the residents. There is not a problem they would not try to address. And their response is immediate. If anything needs to be done, they are sending someone to do it right then. I know this because my mom had to have her closet door adjusted and a light replaced--and it was done the very day we requested it. When she needed something adjusted with her shower handle and the thermostat in her hot water tank, again, an on-site plumber or handyman of some kind was immediately there to take care of the issue. I can't say enough good about College View Manor. There are things about it that I love so much – like the little library and various other cozy areas where books are on shelves for the residents to read or take back to their rooms. There are lovely sitting areas all around the facility that just make it seem so comfy and inviting. I'm only 63, but I honestly feel that College View is a place I could enjoy living at now! It's so, so nice in every way. Oh, and as far as the Price, it seems reasonable. Before we moved my mother to College View, we checked into another independent living facility that we also liked, but it was quite a bit more expensive and out of my mom's reach financially. I'm so glad College View was able to offer her just as nice of a living experience for much less. College View Manor is without a doubt a huge asset to Joplin and the surrounding communities.
