We chose Abiitan Mill City because they offered independent living and memory care and also the location was great for family members as well. It seemed like it was going to a be a great place for my father in law to age. I think they have done a good of a job as they could with covid and I would recommend them.

My dad is doing really well at this place. He is in the memory care and they are attentive and understand him, doing a fine job with the care. The food is fine and dad thinks it has gotten better. My dad likes to stroll the hallways and at times I couldn't find him in his room in the beginning. He is socializing a lot and I appreciate and likes that.

This is a very clean facility and my mother is being taken care of very well.

Mom's apartment is beautiful and staff keeps it immaculate. The Home Care staff gives excellent care. Mom enjoys delicious meals in the dining room. She plays cards, goes to movies in the theatre nearly every day, and enjoys crafts. She is able to go to on-site Chapel and the neighboring Church right next door. Mom is so happy we moved her to St. Benedict's! Mom says living at St. Benedict's is "a little slice of heaven".

I helped a friend move to Lakewood commons and found it to be a very friendly clean helpful place. The staff were always there to help my friend with what ever she wanted or needed. The staff were easy to communicate with and always called me back if I called with a question. . I would have no problem placing my family there .

What a great place to live! The facility is so clean, the Manager is friendly and professional and the tenants are really nice. It is a well run facility and is always a pleasure to c\visit my Dad there. There is really no "care" offered there and that is why I gave it 3 stars - I am sure that if they offered care it would be 1st rate! North Branch is a nice city to live in - friendly community. One of the best amenities they have is the bus to the grocery store on Thursdays. My Dad has a car and really does not need to use it because of the bus service! I am so happy that we made this choice - it is the best thing that has happened to my Dad in many years!

We were impressed from the very beginning with Lakeview Commons and it just keeps getting better. The employees are so personable and very friendly. Extremely helpful during the transition of life change. They cater to her night and day, day and night. Food is very well made and tasty. Multiple choices so if mom doesn't like 1 thing she has other choices. They clean her place weekly. We have them washing her clothes and dispensing her medications. It has put our minds at ease knowing she is being well take care of and we don't have to worry about her remembering to eat or take her pills.

Lakeview Commons is a great place! We really like the aides and the facility. The hard part is getting mom to participate in the zillion activities they have there. The other day an aide brought her meal to her room when she didn't feel like going to the dining room. We are happy with them.

My wife and I enjoyed the visit and[Name Removed] took his time in our discussion. We were able to see vacant apartments which was useful and we had a fair amount of interaction with folks living in the building. Since the visit I did have a question or two and [Name Removed] has been responsive. It was a good visit and we will have continued discussions with [Name Removed]. Tom A

Other buildings were close and obstructing views. Not much space for sitting on a patio or other outdoor activities. Staff members were friendly and caring. Rooms were on the small side and there wasn't much storage.

The staff is great! The people living here are very friendly. I do enjoy playing bingo here. Unless you're an avid fan of card games & arts & crafts - there could be a little more variety in the overall activities as well as for men. The dining room is very nice. I don't think I can be a fair judge of the food as we mostly do our own cooking but the food we have had is fair. The wild rice soup is great though & the holiday party food was also great. The building is very clean. I really like our apartment as it has lots of windows.

What they could improve on would be keeping food warmer for the residents that take food in room

We had a really great tour in which we were told it was not a “bingo” community. My mom fell in love with the intellectual and artistic activities from the [name removed], [name removed], and the MN Orchestra. She also likes the bar and restaurant that brings in lively night life. Many might find urban noise irritating but for Mom it makes her feel alive and part of the world. It was really important to my mom that it didn’t feel like a nursing home. There is private ramp parking for visitors, but it’s not intuitive or advertised to the public. This may be a challenging location for some people. For us who like urban life and are accustomed to urban transportation, this is a perfect fit.

This is a community with friendly people. There are staffing issues. Overall they are good and friendly people here and they do the best they can. The meals are not the best. The dining room has been closed down due to the pandemic. The meals have been delivered to the residents. Sometimes due to the delivery of food it can arrive cold. They don't have a lot of activities available due to the pandemic.

Things are going pretty good at this community. Dad seems to like the food and they they offer daily activities. The staff take good care of him and we have good communication with them. I would recommend this community.

I'm very satisfied. I like that it's non-smoking, and pet free. It really helps with my allergies. It would be nice if they had a community message board somewhere, where you could post stuff to buy or sell or trade. The food is good, though I think two deserts is very tempting. I like that there is only independent living so I find it easy to interact with the other residents.
