Staff is very informative and helpful...The place is lovely. We chose this one because the price was right and the let you do a two week trial stay.

Every staff member was friendly and upbeat. The focus seemed to be on the senior to keep them safe (lifeline), comfortable (assigned caregiver) and healthy (meals, snacks and activities). Liked the idea that mom would not have to move if her level of care had to increase. Owners will even bring in Hospice if necessary. Rooms were light and airy. Residents seemed very comfortable in their surroundings. Preparations were under way for family night, where families joined the residents for dinner.

What a wonderful facility!!The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.This is a perfect fit for our mother.5 stars!!

Very nice place.

This location is where myself and my brother both really liked. The tour was great. The people were very nice as soon as you stepped in the door. And the area where my dad would be staying is some place where I could see him in. I felt very that he would do very well in this facility. We will be contacting them when the time comes for his placement in a facility.

A very good community. They didn't feel they would have been able to care for my loved one.

I recently went to Magnolia Court in Vacaville, CA looking for a place for my Mom. I really didn’t know what to expect or what to look for ... but I knew I, and my mom, needed help. When first entering the building, (with hesitation) i felt it was welcoming, very clean, I heard soft music in the background, which was soothing to my ear, and the reception staff was very warm. Many residents were going through the area and all looked calm. I chuckled to myself and thought,,,,what were you expecting? A woman came out to meet me and, I must say, she had such a sweet demeanor that I truly felt ‘ok’ to be there. Well, [name removed] , soon became a true light of inspiration for me. She and the other staff members were informative, reassuring, caring, patient and so very helpful to me. The family atmosphere and professionalism at Magnolia Court embraces you right away. My family and I were guests several times in their dining hall; and I must say .... they also provide very tasty meals ?? I felt their many activities and social opportunities are often and felt well-planned. My thanks to [name removed] for her loving spirit and to the entire staff for treating us with caring hands and always a smile. It was a great place to put our parents. They really liked it also.

It was a complicated process trying to find an assisted living facility for my father, even with the assist of A Place For Mom. It became clear that getting a honest out of pocket cost for each place was daunting because it was like comparing apples to oranges. And many facilities felt like I was interfacing with a used car sales person, each company had different methods of charges, others would only give you the base price with little insight into specific services. But [Removed] seemed honest, she was upfront on cost and made the process much easier to understand. She even provided insight into Brookdale pricing verse industry competitors without naming companies. Then it was easier to categorize pricing strategy with others, and compare with Brookdale. [Removed] made it clear what our upfront and monthly costs would be. The other important factors like cleanliness, friendliness of staff, type of care available and activities were much easier to compare without industry knowledge. So dad has been with Brookdale Bakersfield for 2 months, and he likes it there. I think my brother and I feel like we made the right choice.

I liked the tour we took of this community. The people we met were nice and very informative. The community was clean and the menu looked good.

After viewing all the Assisted Living facilities in Vacaville, we chose Brookdale at 1111 Ulatis Drive as the best option, both for value and amenities. The facility has a good feel to it, and the staff have been friendly and helpful. The dining center is set up very nicely, however I would rate the food as a 7 out of 1-10. My only complaint is that their home office billing department does not seem to coordinate well with this branch facility, so none of our billing statements so far have been correct.

We love it! We’d rate it a six plus out of five! They’re a wonderful and caring group! The activities are also excellent. Everyone there is very respectful of the residents and the family. I walk in there and everyone greets you! They all know my mother. I haven’t seen one negative aspect even down to the person who drives the bus to take them on their outings. My mother was a difficult person and they’ve gotten her to socialize and participate. She has nothing, but wonderful things to say about everyone. I feel she’s safe and cared for. It’s a big change in my mother. Everyone there is wonderful and caring.

The staff were wonderful to my mom, especially the hospice people. I just wish they'd have kept her room a little neater. Every time I came by she was asking me to pick up for her.

The staff is very friendly & helpful. If you need anything or have concerns they will take care of it.

Nice surroundings Dining room open almost all day; Activities use it after lunch/ before dinner which begins at 4pm. Different levels of care available. Response time varies Movies in TV room daily as well as a variety of other activities- cards, puzzles, chair exercises, plus. For me with cancer care, the bus is available 8-5, M-F with the regular base fee: No extra charge if one uses it multiple days.

I believe they need to reassess their scoring of level of care and improve their menu/food. They advertise it's made from scratch....doesn't taste like it. The level of care scoring is off and they are assessing at a higher level and not providing care for the level they're charging

Overall, the majority of the caregivers, med techs and other staff members are very kind and caring. The current activities directors are fun and they do have fun celebrations. I personally feel they have a big turnover in caregivers and seem shorthanded. They have also had a recent rate increase for care of over 40% which is of concern.

The facility is clean and nice. The nurses, caretakers and staff are friendly. We've only been there for about 6 months but there's a big staff turnaround. I don't know if it's because the caretakers do not get paid enough but we keep meeting new faces every month. Once we get used to someone they leave. We met the son of the family who owns the business and he was kind. He was there bc management left and they needed coverage. He listened to concerns and addressed them. They hired an activity coordinator and she's amazing! She keeps my in-laws and residents busy with a variety of programs. Overall, my husband and I appreciate the family business and hope they find a way to keep employees for a while. I'm believe it's a hard job and we are grateful for all of them.

Overall very pleased. Only been there two months and I don't live in the area so so not get to see it a lot. They have been great with communication with the family. My limited experience is that the staff have been friendly and helpful.

They have had an activities director off and on for a long period which is not good. There has been new administration recently and changes Im not sure I like but I am giving it time.
