I really liked the small neighborhoods of only 14 residents each. Benton House was very clean. The common area is very comfortable for residents and also inviting for family to be able to visit. I am happy that we’ve chosen this facility for our father. I believe that he will do well here.

The atmosphere is bright and welcoming. The staff are pleasant and encourage positive attitudes. Residents are treated with dignity and respect. They have freedom to live their lives as they choose with the help they need to remain safe.

Excellent facility

Staff has been excellent, in particular [name removed] who was my initial contact. Very knowledgeable, extremely helpful on making decisions on what was best for my mother. When we moved in, everyone of the staff who would be responsible for my mother's care came by and said hello to my mother. The food ad rate is a 3 to 4, pretty average, but I only tried it once and my mother seems to be pretty happy with that so far. The rooms in January area are clean, so I'd rate it a 4. We had one small problem with move in and that the door lock for my mother's apartment for whatever reason I was not working. They did fix it the next day. They have daily activities which my mother is taking part in and those seem to be pretty good. The staff is very good about encouraging residents to take part and letting them know what is going on. Sad rate that a 5. Unfortunately, for my mother, she started out an assisted living, and we determined pretty quickly that she needed to be moved into a more secure and safe area for her, so she was moved into memory care a few days after moving into assisted living. So they may need a more thorough process to determine what is appropriate for the resident in situations like ours. It's difficult to know how she was going to respond, but it became pretty clear that she just didn't have the skills anymore to manage on her own. I will say that their process did not seem to be any different than the other places I researched. All of them said they believed she could manage on her own in an assisted living. My mother seems happy in the memory care unit and at Benton House in Raymore so far. Can't rate the memory care unit yet as I have not gotten as much feedback. However, the staff has been very helpful and I think they're doing a great job with her.

What we like the most about Benton House is that it seems to be the perfect place for my mother in law. She is surrounded by people her own age and they have plenty of events to keep her busy if she likes. Timing was perfect.

From the very beginning, working with Emily and the entire team at this facility has been nothing short of a blessing. Emily's warmth, professionalism, and genuine heart made a world of difference during what can often be a difficult transition. She took the time to answer every question, ease every concern, and made us feel like family from day one. What truly sets this community apart is the deep level of care and intentionality the staff brings to each and every resident. They aren’t just doing a job - they are living out a mission. The team prioritizes creating not just a safe space, but a joyful, enriching, and dignified environment for everyone who calls this place home.

Prices are in line with other places. It is a nice neighborhood. The staff communicate very well, which is extremely important.

I love benton house. Wonderful and caring people. The staff is professional and caring. They take time to know each resident. The food is good and choice is a good variety. There is an excellent choice of activities appropriate for residents.

The staff is amazing. They truly care. They also have so many activities for the residents. It keeps them involved and encourages socialism and that's very important. It's quite expensive but worth every penny. I can't say enough good about this facility. The staff is incredible. The facility itself is beautiful. The administration is very caring. Everyone from the administrator down to housekeeping and laundry are simply wonderful people.

The staff have worked hard to help my mom feel welcomed and always have a positive attitude. Lots of various activities are offered each week from music to ministry to outings. Everything is kept very clean and tidy so always looks nice. Mom likes the food and visiting with the other ladies in her area. We feel mom is in a safe place with great care and mom seems content.

I moved here last October and I'm so glad I did. it's my happy place. The people and staff are friendly and helpful. [name removed] is the social director and she has lots of fun things to do. it's nice to always have someone around to talk to.

My wife is an RN who works at various nursing homes. She told me Benton House is by far the best she has seen. My mom gives praise to the attentive staff and excellent food. The cleanliness and orderly appearance gives confidence to my mom and her care. I give exceptional praise to the staff, they keep the place running smooth.

So far it has been a positive experience, the staff is friendly and helpful. Dining is transitioning with new staff and they are listening to the residents making positive changes. The facility is clean and maintained. The maintenance department is very attentive to the residents wants and needs.

My father enjoyed his three weeks at Benton House. The have very professional staff who were easy to communicate with and work with. Phone calls and texts were answered or returned promptly. We needed to make a medication change for my dad. The Nurse worked with me on that. My brother resides less than 10 minutes from Benton House. He was able to visit often. He had no complaints about the staff. My dad’s wife visited often and brought out their dog a few times. Dad was also visited by relatives and friends during his brief stay. All felt dad was in a good place. My dad’s wife visited was happy. No one wants to be away from home, but he did okay. Benson House provided the perfect Respite for my dad’s wife. She needed a brief break from being a 24-7 Caregiver. Benson House gave her this. If my parents lived closer we would probably utilize their Day program. I don’t live in Missouri, but had toured Benson House virtually and in person prior to placing my dad there for a few weeks.

Benton House was a great place for mom. The majority of their employees truly cared about mom. They got to know her, treated her like family. They really encourage residents to get out of their room and take part in activities, socializing. Mom made good friends there. We'd often have to go looking for her when we visited because she was playing cards or visiting with friends. I rated administrative staff low only because we had difficulty getting them to complete and submit claim forms for mom's extended care reimbursement insurance policy.

Caring, clean, consistent. Yes I would recommend but it is very expensive.

I can't say enough good things about MorningStar. They took great care of my father. They were in touch with me often. The staff is very caring. We would absolutely recommend MorningStar at Arrowhead to other families!

We moved mom into assisted living I. [date removed] She enjoyed many friends and took her little dog [name removed] with her. She immediately thrived and gained weight. We had to move her to memory care in the same facility about 18 months later. The staff is very caring and I have been satisfied with the patient care. The biggest negative was the laundry did lose some of her clothes. Overall we will be very sad to leave Benton House as she now needs a hoyer lift.

The staff is very dedicated to the needs of their clients, very dutiful. They take great care in communicating with the client, they're patient. I have noticed when I'm visiting the staff always communicate with my mom, as opposed to communicating with my mom through me, very client-centered. They do a good job of keeping the apartment clean and attending to doing her laundry in a timely manner. They're very meticulous with her meds and make sure she understands what she's taking; they do well with administering her eye drops. Overall, the staff is curteous and dedicated to their work.

My mom had gotten sick and they did a great job keeping her and her room clean. They come into her room several times a day to encourage her to come to activities going on. My mom always says she is safe there. I have seen some of the activities and everyone seems like they are enjoying them. My mom doesn't remember whether she participated, so I don't know what she thinks. Benton House and the care and help they give her is priceless to me. They have taken a huge weight off of my shoulders and she feels safe and comfortable and still has control of her life in her own apartment in a protected environment.
